Right Place, Time, People

You’re in the Right Place
Preached by Apostle Aje Pelser, Harvester Reformational Church, Cape Town, May 2021
“You’re in the right place.”
You can add: “You’re in the right place at the right time.”
And furthermore, “You’re in the right place, at the right time, with the right people.”

1. The Right place.
Position and direction is an important vector of faith. Your faith needs to be in something and towards a goal that is righteous, otherwise it won’t work.
Being “in Christ” helps to develop your new creation realities, a subject we did at Bible School which was a series of Christ in Me confessions that built up spiritual identity.
Being in Christ or having Christ within the hope of glory, needs the corporate identity attached to the individual identity.
2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

You alone can’t be Jesus to the World, you need to be part of a local body of believers, representing aspects of Christ to the world.
A church alone can’t be it all either, you need to network with other churches to draw from the element of Christ within them to complete the picture.
The right place is a place of secure trust in God.
You are in the right place when all you have to rely on is the promise of His word.
You are in the right place when seeking the centre of His will for your life, He is at work within you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure.
You are in the right place when you seek deliverance from oppression, Jesus has come to deliver the oppressed.
You are in the right place when you are seeking to worship God in spirit and in Truth, the tabernacle of David will be rebuilt and you will be drawn to prophetic worship.
You are in the right place when you are going through a baptism of fire that burns away everything you have relied on before, you can only rely on Jesus now.
You are in the right place when you have found a church that accepts you and allows you grow in a functional orbit around Christ, you will fulfil your calling and add value to the kingdom of God as well.
You are in the right place when you have to forgive people for treating you unfairly, so they treated the prophets in the Bible.
You are in the right place when you have to give sacrificially to change your situation, God honours your sacrifice and it becomes a sweet aroma to Him, a memorial along with your constant prayers and giving.
You are in the right place when you are collaborating with other believers who have a heart after God’s will for the church, to see Christ formed in people through a many membered body of Believers when Jesus is the Chief cornerstone and the Holy Spirit has free reign to work at writing God’s laws in people’s hearts and minds. You are in the right place where a church is built on apostles and prophets, apostolic doctrine is preached from the New Covenant of Jesus the Head of the Church, and prophetic plumb line of scripture is followed and understood for today.
Eph 2:19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,
Eph 2:21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
Eph 2:22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

You are in the right place when there are five fold functions that participate in the great harvest of souls in the end times.

2. The Right Time
There is a decisive, epic season in God to get things done. It is called His ‘kairos’ time – the time of reformation in Hebrews uses this word:
Heb 9:10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.
Karios time: G2540 Thayer Definition:
1) due measure
2) a measure of time, a larger or smaller portion of time, hence:
2a) a fixed and definite time, the time when things are brought to crisis, the decisive epoch waited for
2b) opportune or seasonable time
2c) the right time
2d) a limited period of time
2e) to what time brings, the state of the times, the things and events of time

Another vector of your faith is time. You imitate those who through faith and patience have inherited the promises. Look at the lives of your mentors and realize that God can do it for you too.
By God’s grace I am a fourth generation preacher and my son and daughter are fifth generation, using their talents for Gods glory. Cherie is ministering full time as a dancing missionary in the Americas and Ethan is completing second year MBTC full time. God’s timing in your life is perfect and there is no other way about it. You can fast and pray or pray fast, but God’s timing is different to ours. The only thing I have seen that speeds up the processes is total consecration and sacrifice. Even then God will take His time with you and give you grace space to develop.
He is the author and finisher of your faith, that means He authorizes the measure of faith that you need and also develops the faith working out in your life and calling to it’s culmination and completion of His will.
God told me about the church we are building that it will be completed in no time – I did not know what that meant. I realize that His timing is perfect. God can stretch and contract time, so His time is ‘karios’ and our time is chromos. God told me that I would build many churches for Him. Here we go!

3. The Right People.
IF you do not believe that God sends the right people across your path to develop your faith and test your resolve to fulfil His will, then you miss out on an opportunity to grow. Why do I have to deal with this person Lord? Remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities and spiritual hosts in heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armour of God that you may stand, Ephesians 6:
But the armour of God is a concept that Apostle Paul derived from the time he was living in – the Roman Tortoise formation in military campaigns is described as follows:
“In Ancient Roman warfare, the ‘testudo’ or ‘tortoise’ formation was a type of shield wall formation commonly used by the Roman Legions during battles, particularly sieges. 8External link
In the ‘testudo’ formation, the men would align their shields to form a packed formation covered with shields on the front and top. The first row of men, possibly excluding the men on the flanks, would hold their shields from about the height of their shins to their eyes, so as to cover the formation’s front. The shields would be held in such a way that they presented a shield wall to all sides. The men in the back ranks would place their shields over their heads to protect the formation from above, balancing the shields on their helmets, overlapping them. If necessary, the legionaries on the sides and rear of the formation could stand sideways or backwards with shields held as the front rows, so as to protect the formation’s sides and rear; this reduced the speed and mobility of the formation, but offered consistent defensive strength against opposing infantry and excellent protection against arrows and other missile attacks.
Plutarch describes this formation as used by Mark Antony during his invasion of Parthia in 36 BC:
Then the shield-bearers wheeled round and enclosed the light-armed troops within their ranks, dropped down to one knee, and held their shields out as a defensive barrier. The men behind them held their shields over the heads of the first rank, while the third rank did the same for the second rank. The resulting shape, which is a remarkable sight, looks very like a roof, and is the surest protection against arrows, which just glance off it.[1]” Wikipedia

You need believe in divine connections that the Holy Spirit initiates. This is the work of God that you believe in the one He sent. Yes we believe in Jesus the sent One of God, but it also applies to someone coming to you to give you a divine inspired utterance like Annanias to Saul in Acts 9. Saul had been persecuting the church, but God blinded him on the way to Damascus and ask a disciple to go and pray for him to receive his sight again, and adjust his vision.
There are some parts of your calling and election that can only be revealed through relating to the right people in a church and in a network of churches.
If you believe that God has sent me to you today, you will receive the full revelation and confirming signs and wonders in your life.
If you believe God sends you today to your circle of friends and contacts, there will also be a renewed energy to witness and operate by the gifts of the Spirit.
If you come to church believing that you are in the right place, at the right time, with the right people, you agree and are in unity, God will command a blessing and nothing will be withheld from you as you ask in Jesus’ name, Jesus Christ is manifested where people ask in His name and are in agreement. I seek agreement with the right people in my life and God does the wonders from there.
