Reconnect

Hello Friend

Have you ever seen what happens when your phone stops receiving updates from the cloud?

Some apps stop working or start behaving badly because of bugs.

To prevent this from happening, we throw away the phone provide an internet connection so that the updates can address the bugs.

Sometimes we feel disconnected from our Maker in heaven. Relationships stop working and we start behaving badly.  The reason is that we have our own fault lines or bugs or sin.  Sin disconnects us from God, and in spite of our efforts to make amends, we just can’t make that re-connection.

But Jesus came to restore our connection with God. You see, He loves us, but He can’t accept our sin.  It’s like loving the phone but hating bugs!

  • For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16

He did something that nobody else could have done.  He gave a perfect and sinless life to pay for our debts, and now we can be reconnected through Him.

  • For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  – Romans 8:38-39

The finished work on the cross is how He held up His end of the bargain.  Now you and I can choose how we respond.

Jesus invites us to be born again by accepting His gift through faith.

  • If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  – Romans 10:9-10

Reconnecting with God is as easy as ABCD:

  • A – Admit your sins and turn away from them
  • B – Believe that Jesus died for them
  • C – Confess that Jesus is your Lord and Master
  • D – Decide to obey His commands in the Bible

Take a moment and say it out loud:  “Lord Jesus, I admit my sins and turn away from them now.  Thank you for dying for me.  I make You my Lord and decide to obey your commands.”

Well done!  You just began your eternal walk with Jesus.
