REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE

Andre Pelser

April 2012

Background

I learned this principle from Kenneth Copeland when we just started our ministry in Southern Christian Church, Bassonia in the early ‘80’s.Mr. Copeland prophesied over Nola and I and told me to leave business and to work office hours with the Word of God and God will lead me out into a healing ministry for the nations. My grandfather was a healing evangelist and my father was also used of God for divine healing in a mighty way. The Pelser family came into the light of the Gospel because of divine healing.

I promptly resigned from work and hired an office in Mondeor where I sat alone with the Word of God from 8 AM to 5 PM every day. After about 5 months the Lord did an amazing miracle: a little girl who had club feet and no ankle bones were healed. The ankle bones formed within three days and her feet turned right. I have a picture of her and her grandmother 6 years later – the feet were still fine! Her whole family got saved as a result of that miracle. Since then we have seen amazing healings and miracles, not only in our ministry but we have seen how God uses ordinary believers in our churches for divine healing and miracles all these years! God also uses our children for divine healing.

A year later the Lord sent us to Australia to begin our World Wide Ministry. We have now reached 90 nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom of God with signs and wonders following. Glory to God!

Intro

If you are a new creature in Christ Jesus you are Abraham’s seed and you have been redeemed from the curse in order to inherit all the blessings promised to Abraham! There is no longer Jew or Gentile in the Kingdom of Christ since He removed the middle wall of partition between them to make a new creature out of them both. There is no such thing as a Messianic Jew or a Jewish Christian or a Gentile Christian. All these concepts are archaic and they are  oxymoron that make no sense in the New Covenant between God and His Son Jesus Christ. This Covenant cannot fail. We enter in on it by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on our behalf. What a privilege!

Christ redeemed us

Christ redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us. When Christ died on the cross the curse died so it has no affect on us any longer – if we believe we are in Christ. Christ is Abraham’s promised seed (not seeds that is many, but only one seed which is Christ) and if we are in Christ we are Abraham’s seed. Remember Abraham was not a Jew. He was from Ur of the Chaldeans!

Romans 3:13, 14 & 29: Apostolic Perspective on the work of Christ

Genesis 17:7: God’s promise to Abraham

Genesis 22:16: God confirms the promise

The Covenant

I am El Shaddai (The many breasted One – your provider in everything!). I will be God to you and you will be my people. God is a Covenant keeping God. He made a covenant with Abraham and consulted Abraham before he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. It has been scientifically proven that a meteor fire destroyed those two wicked cities.

The Law – the blessing and the curse

The blessing

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 (meditate on it for a while)

The Curse

Deuteronomy 28:15-68 (rejoice because you are redeemed from the curse!)

All God wants from us is to serve Him with gladness and joy for all the abundance He provides (Deuteronomy 28:47) and to keep His Word. It is a good thing to give thanks and to be happy in church!

Jesus came to fulfil the Abrahamic Covenant

Mat 5:17: He did not come to destroy the Law but to fulfil it.

Rom 10:4: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. The effect of the law ceased with Christ because He introduced a whole new way of living, righteousness by faith (not works of the law!).

We have been redeemed from the curse and made heirs of Abraham’s promise.

Proof of the blessing

Luke 13:11-17 Jesus delivers a woman bowed over for 18 years on the grounds that she is a daughter of Abraham. If she could be delivered because she was a daughter of Abraham, so can you and me on the same grounds!

Galatians 3:29 – Jesus redeemed us from the curse so that we can enjoy our inheritance in this life and in the life to come have everlasting life!
