You are the vital link

There are certain people that only you can reach. Andrew was the only one who knew how to reach Simon, his brother, and bring him to the Lord. Look at what the Lord eventually accomplished through that introduction: he introduced the world to Pentecost and opened the door to the kingdom for both the Jews and the Gentiles with the apostolic keys given to Peter!
Oh, if only we can see what God can accomplish through us in one life time we would be more than willing to let him use us as the vital link to a lost humanity around us!You are the vital link to Christ

John 1:37-42
37And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? 39He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. 40One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter?s brother. 41He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew obeyed the Great Commission
Andrew did what Jesus commanded: he made disciples! He brought Simon, his brother, to Christ. The vital link between Christ and sinners is a human being who goes out and finds those who need Christ and bring them to Him. God does not use angels to do what we are supposed to do.
I Peter 1:12

You are the vital link to introduce people to Jesus Christ! You are the instrument God wants to use ? no one else! Nothing we do for Christ is in vain ? even if you do not see immediate results.

I witnessed to the director of the Market Theatre whenever we did a Gospel Show but he laughed and said, ?The Gospel is for people like you, Andre, not for someone like me!? Ten years later he came to look me up at the church I was pastoring in Pretoria and brought his wife and children to tell me that he finally accepted the Lord ? he and his whole household! He is now the director of the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town and they are still serving the Lord!

Andrew made witnessing a priority
Andrew first found his brother. The impulse to witness must be nurtured or it dies. Few people know how to find Jesus. That is why they need you to lead them to Christ. He is invisible so the only representation they see of Him is your life.

Andrew put in an effort to witness
Finding implies and effort. It took an effort to find Simon. It takes guts and it takes persistence to find people at the point of their need before you lead them to Christ.

Andrew?s testimony was simple
We have found the Messiah. He spoke a simple language that Simon could understand. Andrew remained faithful ? full of faith that his brother would respond to his invitation. ?Come and see!? or ?Come and hear!? are the key words to invite people and motivate them to go with you to the church meeting. People are inquisitive by nature and would like to see or hear something special. People have lots to do. They do not just go anywhere. It has to titillate them, excite them and draw them out of their routines.

Andrew succeeded in his mission
Simon actually came to see Jesus. Notice that Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. It is vital to bring people to church meetings and not expect them to come by themselves. Invitation is not complete until you insist that you will accompany them. If they have to go by themselves they have ample opportunity to back off or find excuses not to go.

Luke 19:10: The Son of man came to seek and save the lost! A life saver does not drag every bather out of the sea ? only the one that is drowning! We have to discern who the ?lost? are. They are the ones that will accept the Saviour more readily!

Jesus saw the travail of his soul
Isaiah 53:11:

Travailing in the spirit for lost souls and for backslidden believers is the key to having a powerful w Jesus saw the travail of his soul witness. Those who sow in tears shall certainly come rejoicing bringing in their sheaves!
Psalm 126:5

Ezekiel 22:30: Fill the gap ? intercede for the lost and the sinful

Rely on the Holy Spirit
Rely on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you to say the right words. Do not go in your own strength.

Philippians 2:13: It is God who is at work within you both to will and to work according to His good pleasure.

He who wins souls is wise!
Proverbs
There is a reward for soul winning! There is a joy in those who win souls! We are on a rescue mission! The Lord is on our side and the Spirit is our Guide. Let your light so shine among men that they will ask you concerning the hope of glory within you!
