Are you dead in your sins?

What does it mean, to be dead in your sins? Why did God tell Adam that the day he sinned he would surely die and yet he lived on to a ripe old age? What actually dies when we sin? What is remedy for being dead in our sins? Is there hope for people who have spent a life time in sin and then look for salvation? What about the believer who serves God but harbours secret unforgiven sins? Is he dead in his sins as well?
We have to take stock now and again and evaluate our spiritual life to see if we are in the faith or not. Now is a good a time as any to consider if you are dead in your sins.Dead in your sins

Being dead in your sins, means that you are alive, but something inside has died. You have no feeling for people; you have no desire for things. You go through life like a somnambulist. You see and hear things, but they do not make an impression on you, for you are like a dead man walking. Your sins has killed all your sensitivities and you might as well be dead and buried because life holds not thrill for you. You have become numbed by your sins and you do not respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit either. You do not feel like worshipping God and never have inclinations to pray or read the holy Bible.
You are like Adam and Even, after they sinned: they have died.
God promised Adam that He would die if he disobeyed.
The communication line between you and God has been broken and therefore you are a liability and a burden to humanity and no longer an asset. Your light has gone out. You are part of the darkness in the world.
All you can see around you is death and destruction and you no longer care deeply about anything. Everything has become superficial.
Your natural love has died. There is no love for your wife; there is not love for your children.
You are dead inside and you sometimes you were physically dead because life has lost its meaning because of your sins.
Your sins have broken off your communication with God.
Isaiah 59:1
Isaiah 1:18
Romans 3:23
The soul that sins shall surely die ? not just one day when this body is laid to rest in the grave, but immediately, after sinning something dies.
God warned Adam and Eve that if they sinned they would die, and yet they lived to be very old. So what died? Something on the inside died?their conscience. They were no longer able to have any feelings for God or each other. That is why Cain could murder his brother Abel and be upset when God asked him where Abel was. His response was. ?Am I my brother?s keeper that you should ask me where he is??

Those who give themselves over to sin, eventually have their consciences sealed with a hot iron so that they are incapable of feelings. This is a dangerous category to sink into ? because the murderers and rapists, the lunatics and the dictators come from this category.

There is a way out: through faith in Jesus Christ. He is the Life you are looking for. He gives eternal life to those who really believe in Him for He is the Resurrection and the Life. If you believe in Him you will not see death.

John 8:32
John 8:59

Is Christ alive in you or are you only going through the motions of being a Christian? Are you filled with the Holy Spirit or are you merely speaking in tongues as a religious exercise? Are you full of fire for God or have you become lukewarm so that God is about to spit you out of His mouth?
It is time to take stock to evaluate your spiritual life: the day is far spent and it is almost night?

Let those who hear what the spirit is saying to the church, hear and respond! It is time to wake up out of your sleep and to put on the garments of righteousness!

The devil has put the people to sleep in his lap. They are deaf to the voice of the spirit and blind to His guidance. Wake up oh thou that sleepeth and rise up out of your sins and God will enlighten you! Break off your sins through righteous deeds. Do what is right in God?s sight and He will shine His light on you and bless you in all your deeds.
