The Integrity of the Word of God
The Integrity of the Word
(Based on notes from Kenneth Copeland)
1. For 1000 years the Word of God was locked up in monasteries and in a language not of the people; then Reformation came; then the word was locked up in doctrines and creeds.
2. We must put the Word of God first place in our lives.
A. It is God speaking to you
B. It is God-in-breathed
C. Hebrews 4:12
D. Psalm 119:89 (Forever settled in heaven) Ps 138:2 (magnified above Name)
E. We are to believe only what the Word says – not what we think it says – then walk in the light of what it says!
3. We must become Word-minded
A. Abide in the Word, know the truth, be set free (John 8:31, 32; 15:7)
B. Of His own will He brought us forth, by the Word of Truth (James 1:18)
C. Born again by incorruptible seed (I Peter 1:23)
D. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word of God (Matthew 4:4)
E. It is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17)
F. We are to seek only what is promised in the Word
G. The inward witness will grow to maturity only as we are mindful of God’s Word (Hebrews 5:13, 14 – train senses to discern the Word)
