How the Church Orbits Christ

How the Church Orbits Christ
Preached by Apostle Aje Pelser, Ripple Effect Summit 2021

Jer 31:21 “Set up signposts, Make landmarks; Set your heart toward the highway, The way in which you went. Turn back, O virgin of Israel, Turn back to these your cities.
Jer 31:22 How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing in the earth— A woman shall encompass a man.”
Jer 31:23 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “They shall again use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I bring back their captivity: ‘The LORD bless you, O home of justice, and mountain of holiness!’
Jer 31:24 And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all its cities together, farmers and those going out with flocks.
Jer 31:25 For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”

Launch protocols that position your church to orbit Christ.

1. Set up Signposts
The best signpost for a lost world is the cross of Jesus Christ. When He is lifted up, it will draw people who see it. Your personal cross that you take up daily, becomes a signpost to others who seek redemption. They see your capacity to endure and overcome like Jesus and it becomes a signpost to them on the road to salvation.
I believe that we can also set up physical signposts so that people will be led to the Lord. We use flyers, posters and banners to set up signposts for people to follow to church and households, as well as Miracle Bible College. Some have seen our web sites too and followed the directions to get to church. We have set up sound posts too in the spirit – making a clear distinct sound consistently so that those who hear a similar drumbeat in the spirit connect with us from the around the world.
Every church planted by apostles and prophets with Jesus the Chief cornerstone is a spiritual signpost to the devil that his dominion is over in that region. Captives have to be handed over and God’s judgment is executed on the enemy. Jesus builds His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail.
Altars of prayer in the spirit. Consistent prayer and praise and worship will set up spiritual altars and open the heavens in a region. It takes consistency like Daniel, to get an answer through the brazen heavens in a region. We have found that holding all night praise and worship opens the way for prophetic depth in worship and enlarges the capacity of people to worship God. We have also found that spiritual principalities have shifted over neighborhoods where the Word of God has been consistently preached for decades – daily. A religious stronghold where churches used to fail is now flourishing with Churches who don’t have a clue why the heavens are opened, but those who fought the war know the price paid for a free society – and that’s ok – God knows what we have done for our city. He is our Rewarder.

2. Make Landmarks.
Landmarks events mark what God is doing in a city. Sign and wonders confirming God’s word become landmarks on our road to Salvation. O our journey there are significant events that become memorials of faith for generations to come.
God is doing a new thing and we are privileged to be a part of it. The fact that believers are committing to support missions in other countries, shows that there is an outward force of commission balancing the inward force of communion and that creates a sustainable orbit of fellowship around Jesus Christ. Such sacrificial giving is a memorial landmark like Cornelius in the Book of Acts.
Landmarks include House Churches where people gather weekly – Paul the apostle said that he taught people publicly and from house to house. Acts 20:20 – a good vision for 2020 too!
Miracle Bible Training Centre Cells planted around a city also represent landmarks of the Word of God – where it can grow mightily and prevail.

3. Set Your Heart toward the Highway.
There is a highway of holiness that we are called to walk on together all the way to heaven. There are many exits but stay focused on the destination – the upward call of Christ!
God’s highway is such that it can be explained to others – it is simple enough and an open and teachable heart will receive it.
Apollos was a great preacher, but he only knew the baptism of John. When Aquila and Priscilla met him, they instructed him more accurately in the Way of God. Acts 18:26. So there are many good believers out there who will be open to an accurate explanation of God’s ways from Scripture.
In the early Church, they continued steadfastly in the Apostle’s doctrine, fellowship, in the breaking of bread and prayers. The result was that reverential fear came upon every soul and God did signs and wonders through the apostles, people shared what they had and broke bread from house to house. The Lord started adding daily, those who were being saved.
God’s ways are higher than our ways but the good news is that He writes His ways in our hearts and minds by his Spirit. – Hebrews 8:10.
To change our ways we can repent and Jesus forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Repentance is a 180 degree turn like I learnt when marching in the Senior Platoon at school. ”Turn back to the cities of God’’ speaks of His heavenly city called Mount Zion which is another name for the Church of the Firstborn registered in heaven. More good news is that the Word says to believers – ”We have come to Mount Zion”
Hebrews 12:22
”But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and Church of the Firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

So what is this new thing?
When this prophecy was written, Jesus had the Church in mind. When Peter received his revelation about Jesus the Christ – the anointed Son of the living God, Jesus replied that He would build His Church on that rock of revelation. Now we continue His work, as co-labourers with Christ.

4. Centre on Christ: ” A woman shall encompass a man” speaks of the Bride of Christ the Church, circling or orbiting around Jesus the centre of every activity. We have moved away from man-made pyramid structures in Church Government and redesigned every department of Church into orbits, placing Jesus at the Centre. When the Word is the focus in every part of Church life things stay in a sustainable orbit, balanced with the centripetal force of communion and love, and the centrifugal force of commission to go and make disciples of all nations of the world. New wine needs new wineskins – Matthew 9:17.

When we adopt a Christ Culture, we can effectively reach and make disciples of all nations, because those who receive our message, the Eternal Gospel of the Kingdom of God will also see the benefits of becoming one with others in Christ. Jesus says to you: ”Behold I make all things new!” Now watch how He builds this Church!

In order for circular motion of a planets around a sun to continue, there needs to be a balance between an inward and outward force. The inward force seeks the centre and it is called a centripetal force.

The outward force is equal and opposite to the inward force if the object continues in circular motion about a centre. Jesus sent out His disciples with a commission to go and make disciples of all nations.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

But He also gave them a command to remember Him in communion whenever they gathered together in His name. The love they have for each other and for God would be sings to the world that they are His disciples.
Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

5. Justice and holiness restored in the mountain of church.
Jer 31:24 And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all its cities together, farmers and those going out with flocks.
Famers with flocks return. The word for farmer here is husbandman – those working the land that plough and dig – preparing the soil for sowing and harvest. They work the land yet don’t own it – in the book of Acts no one called anything their own because they shared ad had things in common. (BDB H406 Ikkar) God prepared them for the future when Jerusalem would be destroyed and the value of their lands would have been worthless anyway. The Christians in Jerusalem fled to the mountains of Samaria where Jesus had met the Samaritan woman at the well, where Philip had a revival and led towns to the Lord. God’s network was ready and the liquidity of provision was facilitated by the apostolic economy God put in place.
Flocks speak of local churches where people can be taken care of properly with good shepherds after God’s heart, like Davd.

6. Push the Refresh Button!
Jer 31:25 For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”
In our meetings, we need to make time for the Holy Spirit to move so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
Act 3:18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
Act 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Act 3:20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
Act 3:21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

7. God will sow His people and multiply them and their possessions to build and plant them.
“So I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD.”
I am convinced that we should build churches. God spoke to me in an empty cathedral in Europe, I asked Him, so Lord, what would you like me to do for you? “You will still build many churches for Me,” was the answer.

We are busy with a building that has become a challenge to complete. It is like Satan and all hell hates that this move of God is finding a home base that people can see. But the destroyer is being rebuked on our behalf because we out give him sacrificially and reach more nations for the Lord, and plant more home cells in the city and raise up more shepherds for flocks every year. Get behind us Satan! The Lord rebuke you and Jesus is building His church through us, spiritually and physically. There will be a physical manifestation of church as it is in heaven, it shall be on earth. Nations will come to the brightness of our rising, arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you Harvester!
