Your Light has Come

Preacher:
Passage: Isaiah 60:1-22

Focal Points of His Glorious Light that reveal His Rewards for being part of this current move of God in the earth.
In theater, when we prepare for a production, there are various rehearsals including a technical rehearsal where the technicians come in and focus the lights and the director blocks the scene with the actors in place. Yvette Brandt says we should feel the light and then know we are in the right place where the audience can see every nuance of our performance. This rings true for our life as Christians, encouraged not to hide our light, but put it up for the world to see, so that they can see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.

Focus on His Word and command to Arise versus voices of doubt and despair
Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
Accept the command to arise. For light to reach its focal point it needs to be lifted up and pointed in a direction. We are light beings for God, Jesus is the Light of the World, but when he passed his light onto his disciples, he gave them His Spirit to sustain that light and spread it over the whole world from generation to generation.
Arise!
One of the meanings for arise includes to ordain. H6965
It means to be clearer and to confirm. As we accept His command to arise, He continues toconfirm His word amongst us with signs and wonders.
Shine and Light up the World for Jesus!
Shine – corresponds to the break of day. As the Morning Star rises in our hearts through revelation of the Word we get up and enjoy the dawn and continue till full daylight. We are set on fire in our hearts by His Holy Spirit. H215
Light – includes happiness and illumination. To see the light is just as important as operating in miracles, because the light of the Word shows us how to cooperate with God and take the next step of our faith. H216
The Glory of the Lord is Risen upon you!
God’s glory, weight and splendour, honour, power and wealth has shot forth beams, risen as the sun, irradiated upon you! . H3519 & H2224
Good news is that the light appears as soon as the sun is up! So it is a done deal. Receive it by faith.

Light is brighter when its Dark – focus on the Light that is growing in you
Isa 60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
The darkness that covers the world is proportional to the amount light covering derived from God over his Church.
Isa 60:3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. What happens when it’s dark? People come to the light!
Get ready for those in darkness streaming to the brightness of your rising. Light brings warmth and comfort and points to a shelter and a safe haven – the church! A spiritual home, a family.
Isa 60:4 \”Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together,
Change your perspective on life, things and people.
Lift your vision higher and stop looking at your immediate circumstances. Eagles look up and fly higher than the crows. They have an inbuilt membrane that covers their eyes so they can fly into the sun while other birds struggle to do that. Stop pecking for leftovers in the ground and lift your vision to see the grand expanse of God’s provision and opportunity. Then use your vision to spot the next opportunity and go for it with God’s strength!
Focus on the Provider and Provision and Favour will follow
Once your Focal Point has changed, you see more.
What do you see with renewed vision and eyes of faith?
Have a read below and start rejoicing!
They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
Isa 60:5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
Isa 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD.
Isa 60:7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory.
Isa 60:8 \”Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts?
Isa 60:9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the LORD your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you.
Isa 60:10 \”The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favour I have had mercy on you.

Focus on the Name of the Lord
Notice the Focal point of all this provision and Favour in verse 9:
Isa 60:9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the LORD your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you.
Focus on Sonship in the Household of Faith
There is great value in this household of Faith. Ask God to show you the riches He has invested in the saints around you. You will be so pleasantly surprised as you take a sincere interest in ordinary people. Shooting stars impress you for moment, planets sustain life.
The relationship between Paul and Timothy is a good example of sonship in the Bible. We all have One Father in heaven. But in the discipleship process Apostle Paul mentions:
1Co 4:15 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
1Co 4:16 Therefore I urge you, imitate me.
1Co 4:17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.
Chastisement of the Lord is part of sonship and should be received as correction, not rejection.
Glory comes to beautify the Church
Isa 60:13 \”The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary; And I will make the place of My feet glorious.
The Church is a body of believers functioning together with a common purpose – to see Christ formed in people. Any other purpose than seeing Christ formed in people should be discerned with the Word. Many times man has good intentions and his ambition seems to be for God, but then the yoke becomes too heavy and the energy runs out. The fruit of men’s endeavours is normally frustration and despair, which can turn to bitterness and anger towards God and people. Repentance is the key to unlock deliverance. But repentance means a change of heart, not just an acknowledgement of fault. It is a metamorphosis that takes time and commitment to change. As we submit to the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, he deals with us line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little.

Focus on the Next Generation
Isa 60:14 Also the sons of those who afflicted you Shall come bowing to you, And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Isa 60:15 \”Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, So that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, A joy of many generations.
Focus on His Upgrades and Expect Change in Every Sphere of Life
Isa 60:17 \”Instead of bronze I will bring gold, Instead of iron I will bring silver, Instead of wood, bronze, And instead of stones, iron.
This is part of the lifted Vision and change of perspective. It is not a case of greediness, but of having a sane estimation of yourself and your God according to the measure of faith that has been developed over time in your spirit.

Focus on the Kingdom Values
I will also make your officers peace, And your magistrates righteousness.
Isa 60:18 Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.
Your officers shall be peace. In another place it says let Peace be your umpire
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
The word for peace ruling your heart is also umpire:
\”Rule\” G1018 Thayer Definition:
1) to be an umpire
2) to decide, determine
3) to direct, control, rule
When we focus on kingdom values, Salvation and Praise wil protect you and establish your walls, your going out and your coming. (Gates)
Focus on your Source of Light – God Himself
Isa 60:19 \”The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.
Isa 60:20 Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended.
From this place of light, your mourning is ended. Oil of joy can replace mourning. Oil drips into the lamps in Zechariah’s vision (Zech. 4) continuously. When God reveals something to you in a situation you are comforted. His anointing breaks the yoke and His Holy Spirit fuels the flame with a continuous flow of anointing in your spirit.

Focus on Righteousness and inheritance follows.
Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. God made his descendents like the stars that can’t be numbered.
Through faith in Jesus Christ we can all be righteous before God
Isa 60:21 Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.
God also decides where he plants you. Your life is the work of His hands – and your measure of success brings glory to Him.

Focus on the Lord’s timing and Increase will come
Isa 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.\”
Do not focus on what you have now, how many disciples you have now, how many people in your church, how many businesses you have, how big and influential your family seems to you or others. Put your eyes on God and see how He “hastens it in its time” – God has a way of increasing things exponentially. It is a bit beyond our grasp of mathematics, so believe and watch how He does it and give Him the glory!
