Clarifications regarding spiritual adoption

The Roman system of adoption made you 100% son! You have the same privileges as children born in the house. Jesus is the First Begotten Son of the Living God and He became the First Born from the dead among many brothers. Romans 8:19 says all creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. This is already happening! It is not a future event! The will of God is being done in the lives of those who submit to Jesus Christ as King. His Kingdom has come in the hearts of his loyal subjects! The will of Christ is our highest desire and the extension of His kingdom our sole occupation. All else will be added to us!

Huios – mature son

How to become a son

John 4:12 – to as many as received Him, believe in Him He has given the power to become a child of God. That child has to grow in grace to become a mature son that can handle responsibilities in the Kingdom and also enjoy the full privileges.

What to expect as a son

I John 3:2 – We know we are sons but what we will be we do not know – but when He returns we shall be like Him.

We are heirs with God and co-heirs with Christ

God is Abba Father to us – it is the cry of the spirit of adoption

The eternal purpose of God

Eph 3:11 we have boldness and access through faith in Him (Eph 4:12) because we know we are His sons and daughters. Therefore we know all things work together for our good because we love Him and are called according to His purpose: to be conformed to the image of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. So who can bring a charge against God’s elect? (Romans 8:28-34)

Children of Abraham

Not children of the flesh (Jews) but children of the Promise made to Abraham are the Adoption! The true descendants of Abraham are believers – not Jews! (Rom 9:8). God took believers from all nations, races and creeds and made a new nation for Himself! A people who were called ‘not a people’ is the people of God! (Rom 9:26)

The righteousness by faith speaks like this: I believe God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and I confess Jesus Christ as Lord! (Rom 10:8-10)

For this purpose we fulfil the great Commission to go to all nations to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom (not a denominational Gospel, not a materialistic Gospel, not an evangelistic Gospel but the whole truth contained in the Word of God, the Bible).

How can they call upon Him of whom they have not heard? How can they hear without a preacher? How can they preach except they be sent? Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom 10:12-17)

So as a result of clarifications concerning spiritual adoption you can cry out: ‘Abba Father’ and enjoy the full privileges of being a son of the Living God!

You are in the Household of God, also called the household of Faith.

The church is God’s habitation in the Spirit. The eternal church existed before the earth was created. God chose Abraham to introduce God’s eternal purpose in the earth. The Jews were chosen as a nation of slaves to introduce the Law into the earth. The law and the tabernacle and the feasts and holy days were shadows of what was to come. The church did not replace the Jewish Gospel – the law was a school teacher to lead us to Christ who came to build His Church on earth in the hearts of men and women! So there is no replacement theory here – the church has always existed and it is God’s eternal purpose: to have a habitation in the spirit! Through the church God is still making man in His own image! Hallelujah!
