Power for Harvest
At Harvester we are commissioned to go , commanded to love. It is good to be reminded about our great commission with all other true disciples of Jesus Christ, because the harvest is ready…
Power for Harvest
By Apostle Aje Pelser
Preached at Harvester Reformational Church, Cape Town.
Sunday, May 13, 2007
The following revelations will empower you to bring in the harvest.
Jesus Commissions all true disciples
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Jesus Christ has all power in heaven & in earth – that power is available in his Body the Church
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power (exousia – authority force & capacity, jurisdiction, liberty, right and strength.) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
G1849 ἐξουσία exousia ex-oo-see'-ah

Put another way this great commission reads:
Mat 28:18 Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: 'God authorized and commanded me to commission you:
Mat 28:19 Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Mat 28:20 Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.' (The Message Translation)
Jesus Christ Gives His Disciples Power & Authority
Luk 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority (exousia – authority force & capacity, jurisdiction, liberty, right and strength.) over all devils, and to cure diseases.
Luk 9:2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

The Lord of the Harvest sends forth Labourers
Mat 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Mat 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.
Send Forth: G1544 ἐκβάλλω ekballō ek-bal'-lo
From G1537 and G906; to eject (literally or figuratively): – bring forth, cast (forth, out), drive (out), expel, leave, pluck (pull, take, thrust) out, put forth (out), send away (forth, out).
This passage speaks to us as Harvesters:
Mat 9:35 Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives.
Mat 9:36 When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd.
Mat 9:37 'What a huge harvest!' he said to his disciples. 'How few workers!
Mat 9:38 On your knees and pray for harvest hands!'
