When we pray in tongues, we must focus on something. The Bhuddists also pray in tongues and they focus more than us, but it is demonic.

The Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will quicken our mortal bodies (Rom 8:11). Now, I don?t believe in slavedriving in church. It is performance oriented. But Nola and I focus on the Christ in you and hope that the fruit will be there. Some people then stay away from church.

Aje?s vision: Ark being built. Never been done before. Speaks of deliverance. We need to be accurate in how we build, because people?s lives depend on it.

Morne confirmed that he thought of the ark today. The people who worked the hardest in the Bible, were probably Noah and his family. We also work hard, but like Noah we should not lose sight of the blueprint God gave us.

Church growth fanatics:
?Without apology we eat drink and breathe cells, and we are seeing the fruit of our efforts. Because we don?t want to get distracted, we do everything in cells. Cells are what the church should be.?

Everything is about multiplication. If you have ever been to a multi-level selling seminar, you?ll see that it is the same spirit: greed. By their standards Jesus would be a failure, because after 3 years He only had 120 people. These pastors are ambitious. The church is built around themselves, their personalities.

We are against this type of church. It is not according to God?s design. God?s design is to be of one accord, one mind, according to Acts. They choose a system and run it meticulously. But after a while you lose interest, because a system doesn?t produce fruit.

Pastors are sick and tired of motivating their members. They are tired of running a system. But on the platform they promote it. ?What book are you currently using? is a question often asked.

If you eat, drink or sleep home cells, who are you worshiping? You can?t talk home cells to your wife and children. There is a system in the church today that looks successful, but at too high a price. It costs you your family and your sanity.

I vowed to God that I refuse to bow to that system ? and any other man-made system. Like Daniel?s friends who were thrown into the fire.

Among these people are those who say Nola and I are too extreme. They say we are too strict. They don?t want to preach deep. They want to remain shallow and wide. They focus on growth horizontally. After 3 months a new convert must teach the little they know to others.

People are like sheep. If you sound convincing, they run after you. Amongst us we must produce a kind of ark that will provide safety to those who need refuge, salvation to those who are lost.

I don?t want anyone to lose his individuality. Don?t all try to be like me. But be the best you can be for Christ?s sake. You cannot discover your destiny in Christ if you?re too much alive. You must die to self daily. Everyday we have many opportunities to die to self. But no, we defend self. If you?re prepared to lose your lower life, you will discover your higher life.

You see, most church growth systems are based on the pyramid system. On the highest level is Jesus, then the Pastor, Elders, Home cell leaders, members. Now if a member wants to get close to the Pastor, they must climb over everyone to get there.

Nowhere in the book of Acts did the apostles set goals for church growth. They met in homes, prayed, had fellowship. Church growth should not produce competition, envy, jealoussy, ambition. But the kingdom should not be complacent either. If we are just the same people in the household for 2 years, then something is drastically wrong. Now don?t look at a system for the fruits.

Jesus said ?I will build the church?. He wants to build His church through you and me. But we?re going to do it according to the book of Acts. (Have you studied the book of Acts?)

If I train you on a Tuesday night, and you train your people on a Wednesday night, you will see the saints perfected. You only have to continue in the apostles doctrine. A household leader is not ordained to perfect the saints. It is the gift given to the five-fold ministry.

Let?s study Acts this term and the next. Let?s test it and see what God does. Maybe you have studied the book of Acts, but if we do it all together.

I?m not God?s genius. We are all God?s genius. Together. I do stupid things. I am clumsy. But God doesn?t expect me to do everything. He expects me to do certain things, Leigh to do other things, Ike , Sean, everybody to do his part.

When God first spoke to me about the genius of the church, my understanding was raised to another level, enlightened. For a split-second I was there with God, understanding Him clearly. I wish I could remember everything He said to me.

The other night at 2AM an angel in my bedroom touched me. I was strengthened because of that. The whole room was full of God?s presence. After that I couldn?t sleep again.

I want to energize you tonight. That energy is inside of you, but you generate it by witnessing and sharing your experience of the Lord with others.

Act 1:8 MKJV But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

You receive the power: what for? To witness. Our young people are not filled with the Spirit anymore. They are filled with the latest movies. At the school people prayed before the services. They packed out the sound at 7AM. Now we are in a slumber. Not many people pray.

There are only 3 reasons for not witnessing:

We are ignorant of what we know
We know it, but we don?t believe it enough
We know and believe it, but we don?t do it because we?re rebellious

There are people going to hell because you did not witness to them. Sin poisons your spirit and weakens you. The devil is crafty, knowing how to pacify you. You can?t fool God, and you can?t fool the devil. He knows where you stand. Until you can defeat him in your own life, you cannot defeat him in other?s life.
