Prophet Nola Pelser speaks about Worship in Spirit and in Truth and reveals some insights into the office of a prophet.
1. God’s Spirit creates unity through worship.
2. Just as in prayer, we need to ask the Spirit how to worship:Rom 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He searching the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
3. “I am not singing songs for you, worship is for God.”
4. “Praise looks good on you.”
5. “Instead of heaviness I give you garments of praise!”
6. “Understanding salvation increase thanksgiving in worship.” Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
7. Are the singing of old hymns scriptural? Read Mat 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. Also read Colossians 3:16: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
8. Everything we do is worship when it is “unto the Lord” and so we frequent his presence and become aware of Him in our daily lives. Who coined the phrase “the practise of the presence of the Lord”? Brother Lawrence.
9. “The spiritual realm is full of songs, we need to be relaxed enough to hear! Water has to be calm to see a reflection. We try so hard sometimes that we can’t hear!”
10. “A key to worshipping God is to teach people to enjoy the Lord.”
11. Mention 3 different descriptions of the sound the wings of the living creatures made in the passage from Ezekiel Ezekiel 1:24 And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of great waters, like the voice of the Almighty, in their going was the sound of tumult, like the sound of an army. In their standing still, they let down their wings. Eze 10:5 And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
12. “After you have experienced rich, deep worship, you can’t just go back to singing one song after the other.”
13. Why does the Holy Spirit want to remove hindrances in our lives? So that we can see the unlimited Holy Spirit without measure unfold like a riddle. He helps us to get free so that we can enjoy what He has given us. We have complicated the things of God. The kingdom belongs to the children. Perfect praise…”
14. The Holy Spirit said to Nola: “I desire to minister.”
15. Who tend to suppress the Holy Spirit’s work? Some church leaders who do not want to allow the Holy Spirit to minister.
16. Explain the difference between soulish worship and spirit and truth worship of God. The soulish realm gets you excited and works on the senses. One gets tired in the soulish realm after a while, and needs to keep up the hype. Spirit and truth worship can go on for hours and is led by the Spirit, not by a list of songs that fit together well musically. The fruit of spirit and truth worship is life and freedom. There is more to this concept, refer to Harvester’s notes in their foundation Course Manual.
17. Write your own Psalm based on life experiences and cry out to God for yourself in Jesus name. Personal Study and practical exercise.
18. What did Elisha say when his servant only saw in the physical realm? Read 2Kings 6:15-17 And the servant of the man of God arose early and went out. And, behold, an army surrounded the city, and horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? And he answered, Do not fear, for those with us are more than those with them. And Elisha prayed and said, I pray You, Jehovah, open his eyes so that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young
