Love Unlocks God’s Fullness

Service Type:

Love Unlocks God’s Fullness
Part of Ephesians Truth Series
Preached by Apostle Aje Pelser, Harvester Reformational Church. Cape Town.

As I read Ephesians 3:18-19
“That you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. “

The love key here is “comprehend (His Love) with all the saints” – we can only comprehend the full dimensions of Jesus’ love with all the saints together.

Eph 3:14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
Eph 3:17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height—
Eph 3:19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Elements of Love that unlocks fulness of God.
1. Prayer. Someone prayed for you and that’s why you’re serving God. Prayer is a spiritual action birthed in love and adoration of God and others. We were recently reminded to love our neighbours as ourselves. There are two aspects there – the love of others in prayer as well as yourself. We have to minister from the overflow of God’s love shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:1-5.

2. Spiritual Family. We are named after Jesus as a spiritual family in heaven and on earth. It transcends time, culture, class, race and includes all who call on the name of the Lord Jesus and are saved. The Born-Again family of God!

3. Riches of His Glory. We are exploring the riches of His glory as we love each other and take a sincere interest in each other. There are hidden gems in the saints that will enhance and change your life if you take the time to explore through divine fellowship. Strengthening might in the inner man. We have strength within by the Spirit of counsel and might. The power of God works in us who believe. Waiting on the Lord renews your strength.
Isa 40:31 “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

4. Christ dwelling in our hearts. Christ within is our hope of Glory. Col 1:27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Recognizing Christ within someone else releases love and secures the fullness of Christ in a many membered body of believers.

5. Rooted and grounded in love. By the fruit of the Holy Spirit. If you shoot root, you will bear fruit.
Isa 27:6 Those who come He shall cause to take root in Jacob; Israel shall blossom and bud, And fill the face of the world with fruit.

6. Dimensions of Love only Comprehended with the saints together.
Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

7. Christ’s love surpasses knowledge.
1Co 13:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
1Co 13:5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
1Co 13:6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
1Co 13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8 Love never fails.

8. Love unlocks the fulness of God. God is love.
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
1Jn 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1Jn 4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
1Jn 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1Jn 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, pour out the Love of God the Father in my heart. Let’s me understand Your fullness of love through my relationship with all saints, both in my local church and the Body of Christ. Let me remember how You have loved me through every phase of my abundant life in Christ and help me share Your love with others too! I love You Lord! let my faith work through love in Jesus’ name, because your love never fails! Amen!
