If God is Love – I mean if God is really Love – will it affect what we do and say? If I am ordered by an army officer to do something or if love commands me – will it make a difference?
Perhaps a bit of meditation on this subject will change the way we do and say things this year. Jesus was sure that the world would know that we are His followers by our love. But unless someone has really experienced love it is hard to pass it on to everyone.Love Commands Me
If we can remember God is love it will change a lot of things in our lives.
If Love commands me to do things I will do it because Love commands me to do them. This is different than performing duties for someone you do not like.
If Love commissions me to go somewhere I will go because of love ? that is different than going because I feel I have to go.
If Love strengthens me continually I operate in the strength of love not in my own strength.
If Love tells me what to say my words will have a sense of love ? even when I have to correct someone else my motivation will come from love.
If God is love and love is God then my entire life has changed by submitting to Him.
My quest is to know love if I desire to know God, for God is love.
I need to know and believe that God loves me so that I can love others as myself.

Love is patient and kind; love is not puffed up and does not parade itself. Love endures all things, hopes all things and believes all things. Love never fails?

Where can I go to show more love?
What can I say that will spread the love of God abroad?
When I come into a room do people sense the love of God?
When I open my mouth to speak are people convinced that God is love?
Oh, God, baptize me with your love! Fill me with your love! Then I will be empty of self and filled with God!
