How to Access the Kingdom of God

Passage: John 3:1-5

This is a Sermon by Apostle Andre that I thought was very relevant in the current situation in the world. More than ever, we can make seeking Him the most preeminent thing in our lives and he will take care of so many things we think we need to take care of...

Introduction
Many people know about the Kingdom of God but very few know how to access the Kingdom of God. Jesus said in John 3:3-5 unless you are born again you cannot see the Kingdom of God and unless you are born of water and of spirit you cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

Let us discuss some access points into the Kingdom of God
1. You have to be born again
2. You have to be baptised in water (burial of the old nature)
3. You have to be filled with the Spirit of God (resurrection: new nature)

Migrating to new positions
In order to migrate to the new position in the spirit there has to be a massive discomfort with the old position. The Pharisee position is to talk about it but not enter in preventing other people from entering.
The main reason why people cannot access the Kingdom of God is pride. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Repentance is the key to break down all pride. The Greek word for repentance is ‘metanoia’ and it means to change your way of thinking.

Learn meekness and humility
4. You have to learn meekness and humility
Until the time of John the Baptist violent men took the Kingdom by force, but when Jesus appeared on the scene He introduced a whole new spiritual frequency where it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom! The meek and humble find rest in the Kingdom and their yoke is easy – you do not have to fight your way in or try to wrestle your way in.

Seek first the Kingdom
5. You have to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness
In order to find the Kingdom you have to know what you are looking for. You have to know what something looks like before you can find it. Romans 14:17 defines the Kingdom: it is not in meat and drink (all the Jewish laws about meat and drink) but it is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

There are two kinds of righteousness: the righteousness that depends on self-effort and good works (which is like an old dirty cloth in God’s eyes) and the righteousness which is by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (II Corinthians 5:21). Righteousness is a gift that you receive by faith (II Corinthians 5:17). When you are born again by water and spirit you receive the gift of being right with God through faith in Jesus Christ and then righteousness becomes your surname. Jesus Christ the righteous calls you by your name: John the righteous, Sally the righteous!
Jesus said, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. We tend to look for the things instead of the Kingdom.

Kingdom peace passes your understanding when you refuse to be anxious but instead make your requests known to God in prayer and supplication (please Daddy!) with thanksgiving, and then the peace of God will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6).

Kingdom Joy is not just a happy feeling all the time, it is a deep set joy that God will never leave nor forsake you and that He is an ever present help in time of need. Romans 15:13 says now may the God of Hope fill you will all joy and peace in believing. So Kingdom joy is joy in what you believe, not just rejoicing when you receive it!

Kingdom values are permanent: you can be permanently right with God, have permanent peace and joy in spite of your circumstances or in spite of what people say about you or do to you.

Jesus also said the Kingdom is within you and His Kingdom is not of this world. He taught His disciples to pray, let your Kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Then he sent them out to preach, repent for the Kingdom of God is present! Now we can access the Kingdom and do His will because His will is no longer a mystery: it has clearly been revealed in His Word (The Bible).

The accurate Church
The new spiritual position of the accurate church astonished the old paradigms and makes them obsolete. At every entrance into a new spiritual position is a rock of offence: you either fall on the rock or the rock crushes you! Most people are at first offended in their minds before their spirits receive the Good News of the new spiritual position that becomes available.

We need meekness (teachability and submission) in order to receive reformational teaching and humility to obey it. Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient unto death – therefore God highly exalted Him and gave Him a name that is above every other names so that at His name every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord (Philippians 2:5-9). Obedience is a key to humility.

An accurate church can invade any territory and create divine connections, map out the purposes of God and govern in the spirit realm bringing breakthrough for believers.

David took off his royal robe and danced before the Lord. His wife Michal despised him but she remained childless from that day onwards. We sometimes dress too smart for church instead of being comfortable so that we can dance before the Lord, prostrate ourselves on the ground or kneel and pray!

Other entry points into Kingdom positions are faithfulness, sacrifice, true worship, high praises and having a complete trust in the Lord.

God is looking for congregations that will migrate into the new spiritual positions of accuracy in order to access the Kingdom of God so that the things Jesus died for become a reality in our lives and not remain theory.
