Topic 4: Enter His Rest

By Apostle Aje Pelser

Hebrews 3:7- Hebrews 4:13 How to enter God’s rest.

See also Jesus’ Words:

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Matthew 11:28 -30

“One needs diligence to enter the Divine rest of the New Covenant.”

Here are some pointers on the pathway to Rest:

·         Hear His Voice

·         Don’t harden your hearts (through the deceitfulness of sin)

·         Deal with rebellion – know it is as witchcraft; 1 Sam 15:23

·         Know His ways

·         Turn your heart to God

·         Remove unbelief in your heart

·         Replace it with faith – it comes by hearing and hearing the preached Word by the Sent ones of God.

·         Exhort one another daily.

G3870 Thayer’s Greek Definition includes: “To instruct; teach; call to one side and encourage.” This is also a facet of the prophetic gift.
