Spiritual Mastery

An interesting turn of phrase caught my attention:
“… knowing that also their Master and yours is in heaven and there is not partiality with Him.”
Leading into the passage of spiritual warfare and armour, we need to recognize the values of submission and obedience in the preceding verses.

Peter also reminds us:
1Pe 2:13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake,
1Pe 3:1 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,
1Pe 3:7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Eph 6:2 "HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER," which is the first commandment with promise:
Eph 6:3 "THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU AND YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH."

James emphasizes submission to God and resistance to the devil:
Jas 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."
Jas 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Why are these values important? Because if you do not have them, you are not covered fro warfare. Many Christians have suffered shipwrecked faith because they do not operate in the blessings of submission.

Spiritual Authority
The Centurion said to Jesus:
Luk 7:8 For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
Luk 7:9 When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, "I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!"
Luk 7:10 And those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well who had been sick.
Understanding authority releases our faith to work in Jesus’ name. The centurion’s servant was healed because his faith was working through his understanding of authority in Jesus’ name. If you are under authority, you have authority. This works with mutual submission in ministry and networking too.
Unless someone gives you consent, you can’t share and impart what God has for them. There needs to be a recognition of Christ within each other and mutually beneficial relationship based on trust.
There are instances when God will send you in an office to a stubborn people, where you need to proclaim what God says regardless of their feelings about you, but this is seldom and, more often, God gives you a chance to build platforms of trust over time.

Operations in Spiritual War
Sometimes you need to realize that you are not the only one fighting a spiritual battle, and that you are part of a greater war. Your battle seems like the most important to you, but there is a Commander of the Armies of the Lord who is directing every strategy. Some churches feel they are the only ones doing anything in the spiritual realm and this leads to spiritual pride and exclusivity. Find a few partnering churches to stand with you in your battle and thereby engage in the larger war for the church at large.

You’re not Alone
Here is an example from Elijah, when God spoke to him concerning his opinion that he alone was left as a prophet of the Lord:
1Ki 19:18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him."
We can’t see all God sees. Perspective keeps us humble and safe in spiritual war.
Before putting on your armour to fight a battel, get the intelligence you need.
Through wise counsel, wage your war.
Pro_20:18 Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war.
Pro_24:6 For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

Apostolic Perspective
Your spiritual armour is not just individual. The collective truth protects the local church from error and winds of doctrine. It also helps to gird the weaponry and financial support for a ministry.
The Roman turtle shield was almost impenetrable in warfare, you can only cover one side with your individual shield, working in a company of trained soldiers covers every side and causes corporate protection in warfare.
The Word – the sword of the Spirit is activated through the infilling of the Holy Spirit – otherwise you are just quoting words. The Holy Spirit makes the words we quote from the Bible come to life.
The covering of the helmet of salvation speaks of a corporate understanding of being born again fully, working through all the foundation stones of faith and bringing someone through the complete spiritual birth into a new creation reality.
Howa church sees salvation, is important for the covering of the believers and will cause them to win the spiritual battles they face collectively and individually.
Spiritual might comes from spending time with Jesus. This happens privately and corporately – a person brings a bit of Jesus into a gathering and others connect with that and together we have it all.
The fulness of the measure of the stature of Christ is seen corporately.
Prayer needs to be upgraded to a present truth of what the Spirit is saying to the current church.
Discover all the different kinds of prayer and teach on it until there is more faith to pray different kinds of prayers for different situations. When you have a prophetic word, don’t petition, decree. When you aren’t sure what the next step is prayer a prayer of consecration. When you are ready to go all in for God into battle, pray the prayer of faith and commitment based on His promises.
When you Pray a prayer of thanksgiving sacrificially before the answer comes, then reflect in thanksgiving again when the Lord has dealt marvellously with you.

When you need to build up your faith, pray in the Holy Ghost in tongues and you will see a surge of faith. When you lack understanding pray in the spirit until the understanding comes, then pray with that understanding until you need more, then pray in the spirit again.

Another amazing spiritual mastery tip is to understand the power of praise and worship in spirit and in truth:

2Ch 20:22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

I suggest you read through the full account of King Jehoshaphat and how the Lord position the singers in front of the army! Some people have criticized the way we worship – we follow the tabernacle of David that has been restored according to Acts 15. We have conquered giants and shifted principalities in regions with accurate praise and worship to the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. We teach on Psalmody and how to worship the Lord according to the scriptures. Before sharing your opinion, investigate the Word on it. We have seen breakthroughs in churches, organizations and even entire regions due to activating the Body of Christ in prophetic praise and worship. We did not make this up ourselves, we were taught, discipled in it and searched the scriptures earnestly for years, waiting on the Lord through nights of watching and prayers and praise marathons to get to this liberty of the Spirit in music ministry. We tap into David’s anointing for praise and worship and study his revelations applying them in a new covenant context. Are you ready for war?
