In Hebrews 10 the Lord reveals the configurations of the Body of Christ which is His Church.

Jesus Needed a Body to Do God’s Will and so do we!
Heb 10:5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU DID NOT DESIRE, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME.
Heb 10:6 IN BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN YOU HAD NO PLEASURE.
Heb 10:7 THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME— IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME— TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.' "

The Offering of the Body
Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
There is a sacrifice required to enter this wonderful sense of belonging to Christ and one another. For all of us it is something unique and different. However, that little sacrifice releases an eternal weight of glory and we realize that God always out gives us!

The Position of the Body of Christ
Heb 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
Heb 10:13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
A positional truth here is that we are seated with Him in heavenly places. So many times that reality eludes us and we operate from an earthly dominion versus a heavenly one. We are with him where He is by faith right now! That is where we make our decrees based on His prophetic intent of his Scriptures for our lives.

The Witness of the Body
Heb 10:15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
Our witness by the Spirit of God is given full voice through a many membered body of believers. IF two or more speak the same, it is established.

The Covenant of the Body
Heb 10:16 "THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND IN THEIR MINDS I WILL WRITE THEM,"
Heb 10:17 then He adds, "THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
Heb 10:18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Being part of the Church, we start to sense corporately what God wants in every situation and the body discerns collectively. It is wonderful to see your physical expel infection, well that is just a shadow of the spiritual body of Christ.

The Power of the Body of Christ – His Blood
Heb 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

The Access to God’s Holy Presence through the Body
Heb 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
We understand that he true Church is registered in heaven as Hebrews 12 explains. However, the churches on earth are torn veils through which people can enter the true church. There is never a perfect church – look at Revelation and the letters to the messengers of those churches…
However, God is showing us that it is through the broken body of Christ Jesus that people access His Glorious presence in their lives. Jesus’ body was broken for people – in communion we eat the broken bread of Christ Jesus to become one Body – that should be a revelation to people who are trying to make a show out of their church – it is a wakeup call to snap out of the showmanship of Christianity and walk in reality before God and man, humbly and meekly conforming to the broken body of Christ just the way it is… no excuses! I just have to look at how God uses broken limited vessels to achieve glorious results to prove to me that His ways are higher than my carefully thought out plans. He uses the foolish things of the world to astound the wise… over and again. At our missions auctions it amazes me who actually sow into reaching the Word and making disciples of all nations – it is never the ones you would expect. God will chase away the thousands of soldiers under Gideon and take 300 to accomplish a mighty victory so that only God is glorified! He is cleverer than us, but it takes a while for us to realize that!

The Drawing Power of His Body
Heb 10:21 and having a High Priest over the house of God,
Heb 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Jesus officiates as our high Priest and cleanses us to serve God. You can’t just serve Him any way you please – we have to let Jesus wash us – baptism of repentance in water is a fundamental access point ot the Body of Christ. Couple with that is the baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire – the enabling and cleansing agent of our spirit, soul and body.

The Assembly of His Body
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
Heb 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

It amazes me to hear Christians in the world uncoupling themselves for their local churches to sit at home and search for teachings on the internet without the practical outworking and functioning in the local church. This is a presumptuous sin of neglect of the Body of Christ with the result of backsliding and pride. It takes humility to go to church and work with others. It is an easy way out to ignore local church in the name of the greater universal church, but a major lack of vision and understanding of Jesus’ Blueprint. There is a warning in this book of Hebrews.

?
The Warning of His Body
Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Heb 10:29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

Neglect of assembling together is sin because it contradicts scripture. Simple. Repent and gather somewhere in submission. Let God add you versus joining a church, if you haven’t already – or share this message with someone who is floating in space and offer them a life sustaining orbit in Christ at a local Church!

The Persecution of His Body
Heb 10:32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings:
Heb 10:33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated;
Heb 10:34 for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.

There is a shift of values when you become part of the Body of Christ.
Because you have accessed Eternity by faith through Jesus Christ, and because you have an awareness of your position at His Right Hand, seated with Him in heaven, you start to see things for what they are – temporary. The lasting values of faith, hope and love endure. You start to build those values into your life and family and friends and choose to suffer persecution because that is greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt – like Moses saw when he chose not to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He had it all, and gave it up in a heartbeat to gain God’s glory and lead his nation out of bondage towards their promises. He saw God face to face and lived! This is what the new covenant is offering. Something that the stubbornness of religion keeps form people and lifts the veil again so no one can commune with God. Jesus’ death on the cross tore that veil I two from top to bottom. The entrance to God’s presence has never been because of human effort. That is why it has to be access humbly through the torn veil of His flesh – the broken body of Christ, the despised Church that people disregard often is a lowly portal to glory. But just like mankind has shown through history that they value pomp and ceremony, and ostentatious decorations and glamour, there is a blatant scoffing at the simplicity of the truth, that God has chosen the foolish and despised things of the world to astound the wise.

The Rewards of His Body
Heb 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
Heb 10:37 "FOR YET A LITTLE WHILE, AND HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME AND WILL NOT TARRY.
Heb 10:38 NOW THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; BUT IF ANYONE DRAWS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM."
Heb 10:39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

God is most definitely a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We have found that if we help Jesus with His Dream, the Bride of Christ, the Church, He makes our dreams come true. Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness causes all the things we need to be added unto us. If we make seeking Him the most pre-eminent thing in our lives, He will take care of so many things we think we need to take care of…
