I would like to give some facts concerning angels to establish belief in the actual existence of angels. The Sadducees in Jesus' time did not want to believe in angels or any supernatural actions. The Pharisees believed in angels. The Modernists don't believe in angels. They say the theory concerning angels developed when the Jews in exile were influenced by the theories of the Babylonians.

Facts about their existence
1. Mentioned 180 times in Old Testament and 160 times in New Testament
2. History proves their existence
3. Jesus confirms their existence (John 1:52/ Luke 15:10/ Matthew 26;53)

Facts about their nature
1. They are created beings (Good/evil)
2. They were created before human beings
3. We are not to worship them (Col 2:18/ Rev 19:10)

Facts about numbers of angels
1. Innumerable company (Hebrews 12:22/ Daniel 7:10)
2. They are part of the church of the First Born
3. Their lord is the Lord of hosts

Facts about their ranks
1. They are ministering spirits (Heb 1:14/ Rev 19:10)
2. Authorities and powers (I Pet 3;22)

Facts about the Angel of the Lord
1. He can forgive trespasses (Ex 23;20-230
2. He can go before you (Ex 32:34/ 33:14)
3. He is called the Angel of His Presence/ Face ( Is 63:9)
4. We can see God reflected in Him
5. The Name of Jehovah is in Him
6. Jacob encountered Him (Gen 32:30)
7. He is the Son of God, the Messiah
