Vredendal op die Olifantsrivervalley and on the edge of little Namaqualand only has 16 000 inhabitants. The temperature soars into the 40’s but it cools off at night.
Although the distance is only 160 km from Cape Town, the roads are very busy with large trucks going through to Namibia. The scenery is breath-taking through all the grasslands and mountains. We tend to drive on the well-kept road without thinking what it cost and what it took to make the roads!
Apostle Jan Oosthuizen and Prophetess Chantal planted Harvester Church about ten years ago and oversaw the work while ministering in both Clanwilliam and Citrusdal. Recently they handed the church over to Jan-Hendrik and Monica Kleynhans. Jan-Hendrik is a lawyer and a radio announcer. Monica is very active in the community.
Nola and I were hosted by Davey and Ariana Southey. He is a mechanical engineer by trade and works on the mines. Despite the difficult financial times during the two-year pandemic the mines had their best years of production ever. Davey handles the sound during the church meetings that are broadcasted live on uTube.
Nola was asked to lead worship. She taught and prophesied first before we sang. Nola taught on submission and surrender that frees us from self-will and disobedience. Joan of Arc took communion and vowed, ‘your will is bread to my soul’. Nola wrote a hymn based on her confession. She prophesied that men of stature would come over to them saying God is with you according to Isaiah 45. The eternal kingdom of God is being set up in the world through the church. He shall reign for ever and ever. God wants to accomplish a thing in South Africa that will reverberate throughout the whole world. Don’t despise the days of small beginnings. Jesus promised, ‘if you keep My word, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.’ That is true discipleship.
I decreed the establishment of their ministry and calling. An angel will be set to watch over the church as Jesus builds His church. Opposition will arise but not from God. You will resist every word spoken against you with sound judgement. As the saints are perfected for the work of the ministry each one doing its share it will cause the growth of the body and the full measure of the stature of Christ will be seen and experienced and people who enter will say, ‘there is something different here.’ As you lift the name of Jesus, He will draw all men to Himself.
As they tithe and bring offerings God will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there will be no room to receive it.
There were words of knowledge for healing of headaches, neck spasms, stomach disorders, pain in the left thumb, gum problems and a sore hip.
I gave prophetic words about people that were being ministered to that will come in and backsliders will come back to church. Someone that was wrongfully accused at work will be vindicated. God is giving influence to the church in the community.
We ordained Jan-Hendrik and Monica as Pastors for Harvester Church in Vredendal by laying hands on them, anointing them with oil and prophesying over them. Ordination gives you a new standing in the spiritual realm. It gives a new ‘email address in the spirit.’ Chantal Oosthuizen was also present to encourage them.
I preached on Jesus’s words, ‘I am the way’ from John 14:6. I used some questions and answers to give a better understanding of that concept.
How do they make roads? It is a long-drawn-out process. The rocks must be blasted away, and the road needs to be scraped and steamrolled before the tar is laid on the stripes painted on.
Jesus’s back was scraped for us, and He was beaten severely. Then they nailed Him to a cross and He shed his blood for our sins. He was marked for us. He told the disciples to look at the marks in His hands. When they saw it they recognized that it was the Lord.
How can we know God’s ways that are higher than our ways? Isaiah 55 tells us clearly as the rain descends and waters the earth that it buds and springs forth and bears fruit, so His Word will not return void without accomplishing what it was sent to do.
Where is the way to heaven? Homing pigeons are bred. We become new creatures in Christ when we are born again. We become new creatures with a homing instinct built into us. The Holy Spirit in us knows where heaven is and He will lead and guide us all the way to heaven. He knows the way. Jesus is the Way!
Afterwards we had a lovely Sunday lunch at the home of the Southeys and Apostle Jan also joined us from Clanwilliam.
Keep the Olifantsrivervalley with our three Harvester Churches in prayer when you think about them that God will fulfil His divine plan and purpose in this fruitful area.
