A Spirit of Faith
The Apostle Paul gives us some powerful insight about how to cultivate that spirit in 2 Corinthians 4. Read carefully what he says: “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (verses 13, 18).

The Wright Brothers
The Wright Brothers Wilber and Orville were sons of a United Brethren Minister. They always shows a united front and shared credit as brothers for all their inventions. Their father gave them a helicopter-like toy when they were small boys and they played with it till it broke. Then they invented their own toy. They got involved in the bicycle craze of their time and had their own bicycle shop. Eventually they designed their own wind-tunnel where they experimented with winged objects to understand the mystery of flight.
They believed it was possible to sustain flight in mid-air and proved it to the world.
Wilbur died at 46 but Orville lived on to see how planes were developed in both WWI and WWII.
They struggled to obtain a patent for their design and did not get recognition at once for their genius, but eventually they were vindicated and became known as two brothers that invented flight.
The spirit of faith gave them substance to keep on trying to make a flying machine until they succeeded.

Jesus had a spirit of faith
Jesus had a spirit of faith. He announced what He believed and then set out to do it.

Caleb & Joshua had a spirit of faith
When the other ten spies brought a report full of fear they brought a faith report. The other ten spies said ‘the land is flowing with milk and honey but the people are giants. We are like grasshoppers in their sight!’ Caleb and Joshua said, ‘no! We are well able to take the land because they are like grasshoppers in our sight! Their defense has departed!’ But the people of Israel listened to the evil report instead of the faith report. As a result they had to wander for 40 years in the wilderness until the generation of unbelievers died out. Caleb and Joshua had a different spirit of faith and they entered the Promised Land.

A Spirit of Faith
Faith is the substance of what we hope for, it is the substance of our breastplate of righteousness, it is the substance of our shield that quenches the fiery darts of the wicked one, it is the substance of the girdle of truth and the sword of the spirit! By faith we have our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace. With your faith sandals you can walk where no one has walked before! Jesus walked on water! Moses took Israel through the Red Sea! When the unbelieving Egyptian army tried to imitate the believers they were all drowned! They passed through the Red Sea by faith. Unbelief presumed to do so but failed.
Because we have a Spirit of faith we go to all the nations of the world and preach the Gospel of Peace. We prophecy by the Spirit of faith, we lay hands on the sick by the Spirit of faith and see them recover in the Name of Jesus! God promises to be with us wherever we go and to confirm His word with signs and wonders following! The measure of faith helps us through the day and throughout our lives to walk by faith. The gift of faith comes when it is necessary to help us through, but the Spirit of faith is permanent! It is a different kind of spirit!
Speak what you believe. If you don’t want it, don’t say it! If you want it, then begin to say it!
Complaining is harsh judgment against God. (Mal 3:13) but when you speak faith-filled words they are recorded in heaven (Mal 3:16) we need to agree with God’s word and not rely on opinions. The word of God is quick and powerful!
If any man be in Christ Jesus he is a new creature. (II Cor 5:17) The New Creature must learn a new language: it is the language of faith! God used faith-filled words to create the universe and the earth and all that is in it! The new man inside of you wants to speak faith-filled words that releases the power of God that works on your behalf!

Apply faith-filled words in your life
There are only 192 recognized nations to reach in the entire world! I have reached 107 by now and believe it is possible to reach the rest! There are only 289 municipal areas in South Africa. Let’s believe it is possible to have a Harvester Church in all those areas! We reach them one by one!
The greatest danger in our country is not the threat of communism – it is a lack of faith!
Self-complacency robs us of all the opportunities to do something for God!
We need to speak like Jesus, pray like Jesus and act like Jesus! When you are full of the Spirit of faith your greeting over the phone will inspire people to believe in your God! (Luke 1:41-44) the very sound of your voice will bring faith into the hearts of people! People will leap for joy when you speak words of faith! People will call you blessed! God will do mighty things wherever you go!

The gates of hell cannot prevail
There was an outcropping of rocks outside New York harbor that caused untold damage to ships entering the harbor. It was called ‘Hells Gate’. An engineer drilled holes into those rocks and filled them with explosives. The radio activated detonator was set up in his office overlooking the harbor. God his little 6 year old granddaughter to push the red button. The explosion went off and the rocks were blown away. He yelled out loud: ‘Hell’s Gate is no more!’
Jesus defeated death and Satan and hell on the cross! He said He will build His church and the gates of hell will not be able to prevail against it! We push the red button of faith in the blood of Jesus and hell’s gate is no more! The Word of God is full of explosive power – but it needs faith-filled words to activate it!
Today there can be an explosion of God’s power in your life and in your situation! Jesus has set the explosives and all you have to do is to push the red button of faith! Hell’s Gates will not be able to prevail against you! You are part of the Eternal Church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it!

Today is your day of victory
Today is your day of victory because you have a Spirit of Faith like Caleb and Joshua! You can do the impossible like the Wright Brothers! You can be a leader like Moses! You can be anointed of God and be filled with the Spirit of faith like Jesus and go around doing good healing all who are oppressed of the devil for God is with you!
