Living a Fulfilled Christian Life

Fulfilled Life

By Apostle Andre Pelser

First preached by Andre Pelser in Southern Christian Centre, 1st of March 1987, Bassonia, Johannesburg

God’s Master Plan includes you. You were born again by the will of the Father, just as Jesus was born by the will of the Father. You have the nature of the Father in you, because He has given you His Holy Spirit. You have divine impulses in you to do His will for it is He who is at work within you to will and to work according to His will (Philippians 2:13). You express His will as you go about your daily tasks. You are pleasing to Him because you are learning to walk by faith and not by sight.

When every joint supplies something and every part of the body of Christ does its share, the Church is built up and increases with divine increase, and not by unnatural methods and worldly schemes forcing growth.

There are three basic steps to living a fulfilled Christian life:

  1. Discover your function in a body
  2. Develop your function
  3. Use it to serve God and humanity

If you do that you will add to the growth of the church, numerically, spiritually and organizationally.

1.    Discover your function

  • Explore possibilities in ministry, in examples in the Word of God and in your own life (how God uses you).
  • Evaluate effectiveness and growth from time to time (take stock)
  • Allow the body of Christ to acknowledge and confirm your function

2.    Develop your function

  • The law of use decides your development
  • Training and guidance before opportunities come
  • Take the opportunities that come your was (Compare Elijah and the widow in I Kings 17)

 3.    Use your function

  • Allow the Holy Spirit free reign to work through you. He will open doors, direct you, give you wisdom and boldness. He will anoint you for a task.
  • I asked the Lord: ‘I have so many ideas, how do I know which one is from you?’ The Spirit told me: ‘if it is from Me, you will have faith to do it.’ You can only do what you believe you can do. Faith comes from hearing God speak to you. (Romans 10:17)
