The world's view of success is completely different to the way God sees it. You have to make up your mind if you want wordly success or godly success. God's plan for your life includes success.
The Hebrew word for success is 'sakal' and it refers to understanding that will cause you to prosper.
God wants you to be wise first and then give you the dream that He placed in your heart so that the dream will not destroy you but bless you and continue to blesss your children after you.Principles of Godly Success

8 ?This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.9 ?Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.?
The worldly theory of success that centers on personal power and the amassing of financial riches is a highly deceptive trap. The wise person defines success in the light of God?s plan for his life. Living in a manner that honors God and relies on His promises, brings success.

Twelve Scriptural Principles of Godly Success based on Dr. Paul Yonghi Cho?s testimony as well as our own.

1. Through much hardship and sacrifice God has brought us to a place of Godly Success. We enter the kingdom through much tribulation.
2. As water carries a boat so God carries us. We do not know how to keep on doing what we?re doing unless the Holy Spirit helps us.
3. He gives perfect balance and harmony within: the greater the suffering the greater the glory!
4. We pray every day that God will let us see the dream He has placed within our hearts: as we help God with His dream He makes our dreams come true!
5. ?I always do those things that please Him.? (John 8:29) He has built His nature into us according to the divine promises. (II Peter 1:3, 4) New thoughts and behavioural patterns are forming and we are beginning to speak like Him ? the language of overcomers!
6. We believe that God is touching the world through us. Wherever we go His presence goes with us and our words illuminate the minds. He said I will never leave nor forsake you and confirm my Words with signs and wonders.
7. There is no guilt or condemnation for those who are in Christ; no inferiority or intimidation. (Romans 8:1) Greater is He who is in us than He who is in the world. ( I John 4:4)
8. Because God?s power enables us to have godly success we can plan with confidence that God is with us to fulfil those plans!
9. God?s great power works through those who believe and He can do much more than what we can ask or imagine! ( Ephesians 1:19-23; 3:20)
10. There is only one Head: Christ. The information we send in prayer is fed to Him by the Holy Spirit and He sends His instructions back to us through the instrumentality of the same spirit. It requires voluntary obedience to do what He wants us to do. Our bodies are made to function in the same way: command carrying nerves take messages to the brain and voluntary autonomic nerves bring the instructions to the organs and muscles.
11. He gives us rest if we believe in Him. (Psalm 23) The creative part of the brain ? the frontal vortex ? only works when it is in a restful state. While we are anxious we cannot reflect clearly. God fees direction and perspective through the Holy Spirit into our spirits to illuminate our minds. One creative idea is worth more than resources!
12. Only God can create unity by letting us all see the corporate vision ? His dream ? and He fights for us as we keep on trusting in Him to give us Godly Success. This is what we teach our children.

2:9 Know that success by the world?s measure is a vain pursuit. Build your house?your life and vocation?on the rock of God?s Word.

Here is the Word of the Lord that He spoke to me by His Spirit early one morning about a year ago concerning Godly Success:
?Be of good courage, my son, I will not fail you and never let you go. I have you securely in my grip. You have surrendered to my will and you will see that it is the best way to go. My will for your life includes your success. I will prove it to you. Your heart will be glad and you will rejoice when you see all the Goodness I am bringing to you. People will say, ?The Lord has blessed his servant with abundance? and many will come to you see my Goodness displayed in your life.?

?Do not be afraid. It is I, the Lord your God, who has led you right up to this place in your life by my Holy Spirit. I will not forsake you ever, do not be afraid. I am with you and will prove my presence with you, always. You will see my hand of provision in ways you have not known before because you have set your heart to trust me completely.?

?Do not be concerned about the situation. I have it all under control. I will lead you and guide you and give you godly prosperity and good success. It is my desire that you become successful in everything you do, but I wanted you to have the right perspective and not be led astray by success.?
