Effective Communication of the Gospel Part TWO

Passage: Galatians 1:11-24
Service Type:

Continued from last week’s message we are looking at Apostle Paul’s explanation of the Gospel he received by revelation of Jesus Christ. We all have an experience with the living Christ before we can say we are born again and share the good news. Here are some more of those revelations and a list of scriptures for further meditation in our household groups on Wednesday.

4. Relationship.
When God restores us to the greater family of believers, it has to happen by revelation. There has to be a divine connection through church and Barnabas style ministries of encouragement and reconciliation.
Gal 2:1 Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and also took Titus with me.
Gal 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who were of reputation, lest by any means I might run, or had run, in vain.

5. Destination.
How do we know where to preach the Good news of Jesus Christ?
We have to receive a revelation of where and when to preach, because then it will be confirmed with signs and wonders following.
“And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles.”

6. Discernment.
How do we present and communicate the Gospel of Jesus more effectively?
Sometimes we preach publicly among those who don’t believe and at other times privately. Paul said he ministered privately to those of reputation, like Jesus with Nicodemus.
God will give you wisdom, but the key is the following:

Joh 12:32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

Confessions of communicators of the Gospel:
• We are to be preachers of righteousness; we preach people right with God and tell them with God all things are possible. 2 Cor 3:9; Gal. 3:6
• We are to bring peace that passes understanding from another realm of existence, from the glorious realm of the Prince of Peace, or Lord and King Jesus Christ. Phil. 4:7
• We are to release joy in believing, the God’s kingdom comes, and His will is done on our earth as it is in heaven. Rom. 15:13
• We are to light bearers of hope I the darkness and give people an anchor of hope that brings them in behind the veil in God’s presence. Heb. 6:19
• We are to be tellers of His Story in our lives. John 4:39
• We are called to be ministers of reconciliation of God reconciling man to God and man to man.2 Cor. 5:18
• We are preachers and teachers of the oracles of God that bring wisdom to navigate the crises of life. 1 Pet. 4:11
• We are tellers of the ‘God-Spell’ – the story of Jesus and His disciples who found the kingdom of heaven amidst an oppressive rule and a chaotic world that seemed to be coming apart at the seams. Luk. 12:32
• We are the town criers of the kingdom good news that summon people to be gathered to hear what the King has in store for His kingdom. Isa. 61:1
• We are effective communicators of the Gospel lifting up the name of Jesus and He will draw all men unto Himself in his church across the world. John 12:32

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God is what we preach, no matter what our circumstances:
Mar 1:14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mar 1:15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
