Col 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
Col 2:7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Col 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
Col 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

Ways to be established in the faith of Jesus Christ
As you received Jesus, so walk in Him. By grace through faith – that is how we received salvation – by confessing Jesus as Lord and Saviour and believing our hearts that He was readied from the dead.
Eph. 2:8,9 Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

By being rooted and grounded in the truth of the faith.
Shoot root and bear fruit. Isa 27:6 Those who come He shall cause to take root in Jacob; Israel shall blossom and bud, And fill the face of the world with fruit.

As we have been taught – be careful of heaping up popular teachers for yourself based on your own bias – know the people from whom you wish to learn. Home grown cooking is the best for you- a balanced meal prepared by parents in your home is better than fast foods.
2Ti 3:14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
Local Churches are on the rise again with carefully knit together communities that love and care for each other like Jesus intended. It is not quantity; it is quality that you need to look for in a church.
Eph 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
Eph 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

You will know them by their fruit. Mat 7:17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

Beware of empty philosophy or deceit. There is a spirit of this world and a mass of worldly thoughts being projected to you from all sides daily. You need to seek simplicity in Christ in His word OF truth daily as a first thought. Whatever you go to first is your God. Place God first in your decision making, in your planning, in your crisis, in your family, in your business, in your pursuance of truth.
