Those Who are with HIM
Those Who are With Him
By Apostle Aje Pelser, May – June 2013, Harvester reformational Church, Cape Town
In any fight it is important to know who is with you.
Here are some characteristics of Those who are With Him, that will help us align ourselves in Battle with the King of Kings for ultimate victory!
Revelation 17 culminates in the fall of Babylon, that spirit in the world that seeks after selfish gain at the expense of the righteous.
The good news about the revelation of Jesus Christ however is that we are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life from the foundation of the world, and that we overcome.
But God uses tribulation to produce perseverance and perseverance then forms character in our lives. That character gives us hope as an anchor of the soul in troublesome times because we know God loves us as we have His Holy Spirit shed abroad in our hearts.
Read Romans 5.
But look at the characteristics of those who are with him – in a fight you want to know who is with you. Jesus wants to see fruit in our lives, “prophets with character, not characters that are prophets” is a phrase we used to say during the early days of the prophetic move of God when all sorts of prophetic ministries emerged many of whom abused the Body of Christ versus building local churches and equipping the saints.
Called – Chosen – Faithful
Rev 17:12 'The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.
Rev 17:13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
Rev 17:14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.'
CALLED
Apostle Paul prays for the Ephesian believers to see the hope of their calling:
Eph 1:15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
Eph 1:16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
Eph 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
Eph 1:20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
Eph 1:21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Eph 1:22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
Eph 1:23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Notice their character as a church – they had faith and love for the Lord and his saints.
One of the reasons for failure in the Christian Walk is lack of prophetic insight into calling – if we make our calling and election sure – through the help of the spirit of wisdom and understanding; we will realize how much hope there is for our lives in Christ. Our hope does not disappoint because we know how much God loves us and the world. For the love of God and for lost humanity, our calling must succeed. God help us see and live it out in Jesus name!
Holy Spirit help us to walk worthy of our calling on this earth!
Eph 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
Eph 4:2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
Eph 4:3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
Eph 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Eph 4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
Look at the word “grace”
G5485 charis (khar'-ece)
From G5463; graciousness (as gratifying),
of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual;
especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life;
including gratitude):
– acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious),
joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).
Grace is a multi-faceted word.
God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense is a short way of looking at it. But it is more than that. Apostle Paul writes:
Rom 1:5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,
Rom 1:6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;
CHOSEN
A chosen generation, a holy nation, a royal priesthood…
1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;
1Pe 2:10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. Read on to see how a holy nation behaves.”
Choose to be chosen
Cleanse from uncleanness
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: 'The Lord knows those who are His,' and, 'Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.'
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.
2Ti 2:21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19
In the day of your power Your people will be volunteers
Psa 110:3 Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
Psa 110:4 The LORD has sworn And will not relent, 'You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.'
Jesus was part of the order of Melchizedek. We enter that priesthood by grace through faith and serve as Priests with the authority of the KING of kings in the spiritual realm.
FAITHFUL
Faithfulness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
See also Prophet Nola’s teaching on Worship:
In prophetic worship there is a greater need for submitting one to the other. Unity amongst the members of the orchestra or band is vital. Remember Asaph’s name meaning Unity; Jeduthan Flow Like Oil; and Heman Faithful. These three ingredients are part of a prophetic apostolic company of ‘Levites’. The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of Truth. When we said ‘yes’ to the apostolic and prophetic as a church and even before that, my husband and I, as well as our children, saying ‘yes’ to the calling as apostle on the life of André, God did a deep cleansing. Much repentance, even deliverance took place. It was a baptism of fire and a reformation that took place in our own hearts first. Then the church – and it hasn’t stopped.
We cannot create unity. This is something the Holy Spirit does.”
From Prophet Nola’s “Worship Manual.”
In a Church that Jesus Builds we are only to appoint faithful men who are able to teach others as well:
2Ti 2:2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
A combination of these characteristics help us to align ourselves with Jesus as He builds His church and the Lord makes all His enemies His footstool.
Are YOU with HIM?
Make your calling and election sure.
Choose to be Chosen.
Cultivate faithfulness that opens up entry points into new spiritual dimensions and teach others to do what Jesus said – then people will know you are with HIM!
The added dimension of our Church and networking is then – if you are with HIM in those characteristics of calling, choice and faithfulness YOU are also with US! Victory belongs to the LAMB of GOD – Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour – Yes Lord we are with YOU!
