The Goodness of God gets better all the time!
Good, better, best…and after that there is no comparisson. But God's Goodness gets better all the time. His mercy and his lovingkindness (Old Testament concepts for Goodness) endures for ever. If His Goodness continues to get better all the time, it becomes immesurable! How can we conceive the magnitute of God's Goodness?
At least we can begin to meditate on it until we observe to do what God does – until we become vehicles of His Goodness to other people. (We must always remember that His severity balances His Goodness!)
Can we unravel the mystery of God's Goodness with apostolic keys of the kingdom? This Grace is an apostolic grace and God allows us to look into His Holy Vault of Wisdom from time to time and gives us precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little as He brings us to a level of maturity as sons of the Living God so that we can participate in our inheritance obtained by the substitutional death of our First Brother, Jesus Christ!Goodness of God

Introduction to a topical teaching
In the world of Sport one becomes good through practice and experience and eventually when you get your opportunity to perform well people rate you as a good player. When you reach the peak of your career they say you are one of the best players. And from that point onwards they start wondering how many years you’ve got left, maybe two or three. Everything you do wrong from that point onwards affirms their opinion that you have passed your peak and should be dropped or replaced.
In the world of politics it is very similar. It is unusual for a president to be re-elected for two offices.
The old adage, ‘today they crown you; tomorrow they crucify you,’ applies to almost everything you do in the world. It applies to business and to teaching, to entertainment and to scholarship; to scientific research and to technological expertise: everyone has their time – even in religion.
But God’s goodness never ends! He gets better and better all the time. His mercy and his goodness never come to an end!
What a privilege to know someone who never peaks! His goodness towards us just increases all the time as well until we come to a place in God where we begin to fear Him for His Goodness!
Part of the mystery of God is His Goodness.
1 Timothy 3:16
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
1 God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.
The New King James Version
Titus 3:4
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
The New King James Version
His Goodness appeared when Jesus appeared. His goodness appears when Christ is seen in us. Whenever He manifests Himself through us God’s goodness becomes visible to people!
Ungodliness is broken by God’s Goodness
God’s Goodness leads us to repentance
Romans 2:4
4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
The New King James Version
God’s Goodness allowed Gentiles to share in His promises
Romans 11:22, 23
22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
The New King James Version
The Goodness of God teaches sinners the Way
Psalm 25:8
8 Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The New King James Version
Jesus’ Goodness was revealed when He went around doing good deeds and healing all those who were oppressed of the devil
Acts 10:38
38 “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
The New King James Version
We need to believe in God’s Goodness
We should learn not rely upon an empty form of godliness that has no power. Empty religious rituals have no value to teach you about the goodness of God. Religion makes you fear the punishment of God rather than knowing His goodness.
2 Timothy 3:5
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
The New King James Version
We need to taste and see that the Lord is Good!
Psalm 34:8
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
The New King James Version
After kindness comes goodness. (Part of a Prophecy given to Andre and Nola on their anniversary 1999)
God wants to show us how good He can be to us. He gives good gifts to His own family. He directs us by His Spirit and we set the sails of our lives according to His Spirit’s promptings. We submit to the directives of His Spirit. Even to the sacrifices He asks of us.
He shows us new things to come, new fields of ministry and business, new challenges and adventures with God, new increase and new hope and new results! By faith we see these things and welcome them and confess that we are strangers and pilgrims in this world.
As we mature He releases greater portions of our inheritance!
As we are perfected by the five fold ministry we become authors of divine principles God wants to establish in the earth for the advancement of His kingdom and the benefit of our fellow man.
Definition of Goodness
Goodness: he quality of being good; praiseworthy character; moral excellence. The Bible speaks often of the goodness of God (Ex. 33:19; Rom. 2:4). God’s goodness consists of righteousness, holiness, justice, kindness, grace, mercy, and love. Goodness is also one of the fruits of the Spirit that should characterize Christian believers (Gal. 5:22). Christians are called to goodness, even as God the Father is perfect and good (Matt. 5:48).
1. As an adjective, “good” means “pleasant” (Prov. 15:23), “in full measure” (Gen. 30:20), “kind” and “gracious” (1 Sam. 25:15).
2. As a noun, “good” means primarily God Himself (Mark 10:18). The Bible also speaks of God’s works, gifts, and commands as good.
