Rev 2:18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the Son of God, who has
eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:
Rev 2:19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.
Rev 2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
Rev 2:21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
Rev 2:22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
Rev 2:23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
Rev 2:24 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.
Rev 2:25 But hold fast what you have till I come.
Rev 2:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—
Rev 2:27 ‘HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; THEY SHALL BE DASHED TO PIECES LIKE THE
POTTER’S VESSELS’— as I also have received from My Father; Rev 2:28 and I will give him the morning star.
Rev 2:29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelations of Christ that will overcome corruption.
1. Firstly, there is a revelation of spiritual identity. Jesus reveals Himself to the church of Thyatira as ‘the Son of God.’ When we have a revelation of Jesus’ deity and His identity as the Son of God, there is a triggered reaction in our spirit as well that releases our identity in Christ. It is the instantaneous event that occurred when God gave Peter a Revelation of Jesus too. Matthew 16:17-19
Identity in Christ helps us to overcome the seductive spirit of Jezebel. Jezebel introduced foreign gods like Baal into the Northern kingdom through her marriage to Ahab. Those two spirits always work in tan dem. Jezebel seeks weak leaders, weakened through compromise and sexual sin, to do her work. Be careful not to call someone a Jezebel just because they have a strong personality. The principality

behind a Jezebel spirit creates idolatry and seduces people to commit sexual immorality, while sacrificing children to please false gods. That is a little deeper than manipulation and control.
2. Secondly, to have eyes that are filled with holy fire, helps us to burn through any corrupt situation or deed. Fire purges and cleanses in nature. The Protea flower that is indigenous to the Cape in South Africa, needs fire to release its seeds and to germinate every twenty years. It is a strange phenomenon, but we understand that the testing of our faith through fire purifies and strengthens our resolve to believe. Allow God’s Holy Spirit to baptize you with fire. Your eyes are the window of the soul. You cannot have fire in your eyes, if you have not allowed the Holy
Spirit full access to your inner chambers of your mind, will and emotions.
When Jesus looks at our lives, His eyes of fire search out and burn through all the dross and unnecessary things that choke the word in our lives. His fire convicts and makes us zealous for good works again and convicts us of sin.
Remember how the prophet Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal, which Jezebel served? He told them to see which God will answer by fire and burn up their offering. Jesus’ eyes of fire still consume our offering and proves He is the true God, He destroys the false prophets today and burns away the corruption that blemishes the pure white wedding gown of His Bride the Church!
3. Thirdly. Jesus has feet of fine brass. Brass is a combination of different metals that have been fused to form something stronger. Feet speak of the preparation of the Gospel of peace: Ephesians 6:15.
We have a firm foundation of the doctrine of the New Testament apostles and the guidance of current apostles in the church who help us interpret the Word for today. We have the prophetic insight of the ancient prophets who foresaw Jesus as the Messiah, and we also have the current prophets in our lives who carry the testimony of Jesus which is the spirit of prophecy. True current prophets in the church should develop Christ within us, not just tell us what we want to hear!
If you are well equipped in the word and in spiritual gifts and weaponry, you will not be so easily tossed to and fro by every new wind of doctrine in the church world.
The rewards for overcoming corruption and the spirit of Jezebel is that God gives us power over the nations. We have seen this come to pass and God has opened the nations for us – 124 to be exact. We believe God will open up new nations more and more as we continue to allow Jesus to build HIs Church through us and the gates of hell will not prevail.
THe Morning Star speaks of Jesus – the first to rise from the dead, the dawn of a new day, the third day of His resurrection, the Sabbath and Passover of our faith. The Pentecost of outpouring of HIs Spirit, the hope for a future full of joy. The Direction of our souls and the comforter of our spirit that the night will end, and the new day of His kingdom will come forever!
