Righteous Dominion Decrees

King Solomon showed wisdom by collecting all of King David’s Psalms and publishing them so that they can be preserved forever. His wisdom was also shown in his ability to process the life and teaching of King David and he summarizes his response and hte next step in his psalms 72. God gave Solomon the ability to implement the principles of his father and he cherished them so much that he collected them into books. We have done the same for our mentors and spiritual parents! Because of that, the Lord has given us dominion in the spiritual realm and in the earth. There is no geographical limit to our spiritual reach, thank You Jesus!

Psalms 72: Decrees of Solomon that will strengthen our dominion in this time.

1. Wisdom in judgment.
2. Peaceful Dominion.
3. Government.
4. Help for the needy.
5. Provision and Support.
6. Legacy.
7. Glory to God.

1. Request for Wisdom in judgment.
Psa 72:1 A Psalm Of Solomon. Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.
Psa 72:2 He will judge Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with justice.
Psa 72:3 The mountains will bring peace to the people, And the little hills, by righteousness.
Psa 72:4 He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.

As kings and priests, we are advised to ask for wisdom according to James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
We can draw from the Holy Spirit: Isa 11:2, “The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.”

2. Decree of a Peaceful Dominion.
Psa 72:5 They shall fear You As long as the sun and moon endure, Throughout all generations.
Psa 72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, Like showers that water the earth.
Psa 72:7 In His days the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, Until the moon is no more.
Psa 72:8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth. God has told us, “There is no geographical limitation to your ministry.”
We operate with peace in all matters as God allows:

Dominion has several interesting synonyms that can be applied in making decrees for the kingdom of God:
Ascendancy; authorization; commission; jurisdiction; management; government; reign, realm; sphere; satellite; supremacy.

3. Decree of Submission to His Government.
Psa 72:9 Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him, And His enemies will lick the dust.
Psa 72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles Will bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba Will offer gifts.
Psa 72:11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; All nations shall serve Him.

Jesus is predicted by the prophet Isaiah in the Bible, and we learn that God’s government, and also that of our lives, will be on His shoulders.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

What is the zeal of the Lord of hosts? Is it not the Holy Spirit that empowers us and performs His will to order and establish His kingdom in the hearts and minds of men? To order and establish us with dominion in the strategic seasons of His choosing in the places he has sent us?
God is jealous over us and will not allow us to fall for counterfeit solutions. He is going to perform His will in and through us by the power of the Holy Spirit. He wants to fulfil His purposes in us even more than we realize. Let’s allow Him and submit to His ways that are higher than our ways!

4. Decree of Help for the needy.
Psa 72:12 For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper.
Psa 72:13 He will spare the poor and needy, And will save the souls of the needy.
Psa 72:14 He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; And precious shall be their blood in His sight.
Jesus’ love is always for the poor in spirit, the downtrodden and oppressed. He lifts up our heads in times of distress and shows us a way of escape, a way forward, a highway of holiness. Jesus is not scared to be associated with the needy, what about us? How to we react when people need us? When someone asks for help? You may find it empowering in your soul to reach out more and lend a hand when the Spirit leads you to do so. That’s the key, don’t be led by guilt, but by the Spirit, then the yoke is easy and the burden light. I feel a surge of energy when I need to help someone – I believe it is the anointing in me teaching me what to do. I feel like I am able to do it. I believe you have felt that same anointing, empowerment and ability to lift up the downcast souls. Jesus’ anointing is to heal the broken-hearted and give people hope.
God said to me: “I am the God of hop that fills you with hope and joy in believing.” Romans 15:13.

5. Decree of Provision and Support.
We received a word from a ministry companion recently about extravagance in time, opportunity and provision. It links with this Decree by King Solomon that we can access by faith today:
Psa 72:15 And He shall live; And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him; Prayer also will be made for Him continually, And daily He shall be praised.
Psa 72:16 There will be an abundance of grain in the earth, On the top of the mountains; Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon; And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

The first son of Cush, his brothers being Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtecha. In Psalms 72:10 and Isaiah 43:3 (where the Greek has Soene), Seba is mentioned with Egypt and Ethiopia, and must therefore have been a southern people.
Bible odyssey has: Seba, Sabeans (Pronounced: See´buh, suh-bee´uhnz)
A place mentioned four times and a people mentioned three times in the biblical text.
Job 1:15 identifies the destroyers of Job’s family as Sabeans.
Isaiah sees the Sabeans as one of several nations God gave as a ransom for Israel (Isa 43:3).
Their definition as a distant wealthy source of riches seems clear. Their precise location is not evident from biblical sources.
They were also a source of wealth (Isa 45:14), together with Egypt and Ethiopia.
In Joel 3:8 they are described as a “nation far away” in Joel’s threat that they will buy Phoenician and Philistine slaves from Judah.
(Gen 10:7) catalogs Seba as a son of Cush, together with Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca, as does (1Chr 1:9). Kings from Seba were mentioned together with those of Sheba and Tarshish as bringing tribute and gifts (Ps 72:10) to Israel’s king.

6. Decree of Legacy.
Psa 72:17 His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; All nations shall call Him blessed.
Fro your name to endure is a blessing from God. What type of faith legacy are you leaving for your family to follow? Is it a legacy like David or Saul?
Is it a legacy like Abraham or Lot’s wife who looked back at the worldly things?
Is it a legacy like Jesus’ disciples who turned the world upside down or the religious aristocracy who missed out on the Messiah’s reign?
Are you a Joshua House who will serve the Lord or are you a house of Eli that allows children to do what they want?
It is time for kings and priests to decree a Godly legacy and take back what the enemy has stolen from the generations to come.

7. Giving Glory to God.
Psa 72:18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things!
Psa 72:19 And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.

Make a deal with God to give Him glory in a specific way that only your family can accomplish. I have told the Lord that if He continues to fulfil these decrees in my life, that I will set up centres of learning where people can serve and praise God forever!

Take a moment to write your vow before the Lord and consider it prayerfully because our Lord Jesus lives to make intercession for us, and He is the author and finisher of our faith in this regard!
