Healer of the Broken-hearted
Healer of the Broken-hearted
Preached by Apostle Aje Pelser
23rd January 2022, Harvester Reformational Church, Cape Town
Characteristics that introduce you to the healer of broken-hearts.
1. Jesus also experienced brokenness
He was broken too – He understands.
1Co 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
When Jesus broke bread with his disciples, it was a time of brokenness for him too. It would seem that everything he had built up to that time, would be destroyed.
Add to that his betrayal from Judas who betrays him with a kiss, Peter denying him twice, and most of his disciples running and hiding when he was publicly crucified. Only John, Mary his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary Magdalene and Mary the wife of Clopas stood at the cross facing his torturous death.
Can one really blame the disciples who no doubt thought they would be crucified next? John stood his ground – the disciple whom he loved.
When you are going through the end of a phase, remember that you are actually crucified with Christ. The key to his healing your broken-heart is in his description of His own brokenness – the bread that he breaks is His body that was broken for you.
As you partake of His broken bread, you access his brokenness and how he dealt with it. When Christ in you starts to work, the healer of the broken-hearted begins to anoint all the hurting and broken areas of your soul.
If you allow the Holy Spirit to implement the anointing of the Healer of broken-hearts, He will lead and guide you into all truth regarding the process and even orchestrate divine connection that will ensure your perfect healing, so that you can be resurrected in your soul and healed completely fit for the Master’s use in His kingdom for the benefit of other again.
2. Jesus’ broken-heart made an entry point into God’s presence.
His Broken Body and communion with the saints is an entry point to God’s presence, where you will find your healing.
We enter God’s presence through the brokenness of Jesus, who also relates to our brokenness and gives us access to the healing anointing we need.
Heb 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
3. Jesus knew what he was anointed to do:
Luk 4:17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
Luk 4:18 “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HAS ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; HE HAS SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED;
Luk 4:19 TO PROCLAIM THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.”
Access His anointing by faith today and allow the process of healing to begin.
Understand how God has anointed Jesus and when you call on his name He will heal all who are oppressed of the devil.
Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
4. Spiritual Brokenness can be healed, and Jesus makes all things new.
Sometimes our brokenness is linked to Spiritual oppression and accusation. Shut those voices up in Jesus name and remember your identity in Christ.
2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Pray a simple prayer in Jesus’ name:
Father God I come to your throne of grace in Jesus’ name, through his broken boy, through the veil that is His flesh, the church. I know you understand how I feel and that you are anointed to heal my broken-heart. I believe that you live to pray for me and that you are anointed to heal the broken-hearted, to heal me. I invite your Holy Spirit anointing to begin the process of healing in heart today and to continue until the work is finished. I will give you all the glory and trust your timing to heal me and also to use me to help others in the future, telling them what a wonderful healer of broken-hearts Jesus is for them too. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
