One of God’s greatest blessings to mankind is Revelation Knowledge. It is knowledge that you cannot know unless it is revealed to you. When Jesus asked His disciples who they thought He was Peter answered: ‘You are the Son of the Living God!’ Jesus commended Peter and said, ‘blessed are you Simon Bar Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but My Father in heaven revealed it to you. On this rock I shall build My Church.’ Jesus did not mean that Peter is the rock but He referred to Revelation Knowledge about who Jesus is as the rock on which He would build His Church. (Matthew 16:16-19)
The difference between Peter and Judas was that Peter had revelation knowledge about Christ and Judas did not. Even after Peter denied Jesus three times he repented with tears and held on to the revelation knowledge he had. Judas betrayed Jesus to the Jewish leaders because he wanted to force Jesus to play into his hands to overthrow the Romans and when he failed he went out and hung himself.
You cannot receive revelation knowledge unless it is given to you from above. (John 3:27)
The Holy Spirit reveals things to us as well. (John 15:26/ 16:13, 14) Paul calls Him the Spirit of revelation in Ephesians 1:17. Where there is no revelation people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)
Revelation Knowledge is one of the greatest blessings of God to mankind.
Paul says the Gospel of Jesus Christ was made known to him by revelation. (Ephesians 3:3) That is why he can explain the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. The major revelation will be when Jesus appears in the clouds to come and take us home! (I Peter 1:17)
It is sometimes necessary to pray longer and to pray in tongues before you receive revelation knowledge. You must desire it. You receive it in your spirit (your heart) and then your spirit enlightens your mind to understand it. God keeps before Him all the facets of heaven and earth and reveals to us what we need to know. Whatever is revealed to us belongs to us. (Deuteronomy 29:29) The secrets belong to God.
Jesus came to show us how to live a new kind of life. He received revelation knowledge from His Father and acted on it. That was the secret of His life and also the secret of His authority and power. He knew exactly what to do because His Father showed Him.
We as believers have the Holy Spirit to show us things. He reveals things to us. He shows us areas in our lives that the devil still has a hold on us. Jesus said, ‘Satan comes but he has nothing in me.’ He had no hold on Jesus. We need to confess that and allow the Holy Spirit to complete the good work in us. He will show you where sin, fear and judgmental attitudes entered your life. He will show you how to get rid of those things. He will give you solutions for your problems. He is the Spirit of Revelation. (I Corinthians 2:9-12)
I prophesied to and Indian elder in our church the first time I met him and told him I saw him holding an old plough. He told me after he was ordained as a pastor the old pastor showed him a painting of a farmer gripping an old plow in a field. I could not have known that except it was revealed to me first.
The Holy Spirit’s gifts of revelation are words of wisdom, words of knowledge and discerning of spirits.
When I took our first member at Southern Christian Centre in Bassonia with me to a conference in Tulsa we first visited another Church in Los Angeles. The night before we departed for Tulsa I said let us pray for our trip. While we were praying I became aware of a tornado and I prayed that God would protect Tulsa from the tornado. My friend laughed and said I am just guessing things to pray about. But I had a revelation about it.
When we arrived in Tulsa I immediately took the rented car and went to the conference on the first night. He decided to watch television instead. When I returned home after 10 pm he was sitting upright in his bed reading the Bible!
‘What happened?’ I asked.
He told me: ‘while I was watching television they gave a warning about a tornado approaching Tulsa and told the people to evacuate! I saw the tornado approaching Tulsa and then watched it move away and miss Tulsa! You were right when you prayed in LA!’ His life changed after that and he eventually became a pastor.
The Holy Spirit will show you things to come. He will teach you how to live, how to raise your family, how to do business and how to be successful at whatever you do, because the anointing within you will teach you concerning all things!
Ask the Holy Spirit now to lead and guide you into all truth and to show you things to come according to John 16:13. Trust Him that He will also do it. When He shows you something you will know that it is the truth! And the truth will set you free from all fear and doubt. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God that comes to you by Revelation Knowledge!
The Holy Spirit confirmed the word I preached by giving me words of knowledge for people in the church and even on the live stream broadcast! Many were healed instantaneously. God confirms His Word with signs and wonders and various gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 2:4)
Let us thank God for the wonderful blessing of Revelation Knowledge. It is new kind of life that Jesus showed us how to live! It is the life of Christ! Christ is within us and He is the hope of glory.
