For This Cause

Preacher:
Passage: Colossians 1:27-28

For This Cause
By Apostle Aje Pelser

There are motivations of His cause that trigger our faith into action in these last days.

1. To Preach Jesus Christ to all Nations
2. To See Jesus Christ formed in all people
3. To Prepare Jesus’ Christ’s Bride for the Wedding Supper of the Lamb

1. To Preach Jesus Christ to all Nations
We have authority to go and make disciples of all nations. But this authority only comes when there is a 100% commitment to His cause of seeing all nations discipled in Jesus’ name.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, \”All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.\” Amen.

Baptisms in water and the Holy Spirit are essential to complete the disciple making process accompanied with much teaching to the Word because of all the heretical teachings in the world today. Planting churches with Bible Colleges is one of three things God has told us to do as a global move of God in the earth today.

2. To See Jesus Christ formed in all people
Gal 4:19 My little children, for whom I labour in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
Col 1:20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
Col 1:27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Col 1:28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
When people ask you about your church – “how many people, how many household groups, how many churches in your network?” you have our permission to answer them thus: “Christ is being formed in the people.”

For that cause we can work and labour to the point of exhaustion – to see Christ formed in them. If the labour is for any other reason – there is a desire to make a show in the flesh and to compare and compete with other churches:
Gal 6:12 As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
The word compel stands out as a wrong motivation – we are not compelled by any other motivation but to see Christ formed in people. As soon as there is another driving force, it is not the Holy Spirit and then that makes room for error.
Jesus said we should learn from Him how to operate in rest. Meekness and humility does not constantly brag about things. Sometimes Christians fall into the trap of boasting about ministry. The most powerful people I know are the most humble and the most dependent on God and the least inclined to take any credit for their exploits that God has achieved through them. They have a brokenness that allows the anointing to flow to prepare the body of Christ… like Mary’s alabaster flask that was broken to see the embalmment of Jesus body before his death.
Similarly there is a brokenness required to truly prepare the Body of Christ for the Finish at this stage.

3. To Prepare Jesus’ Christ’s Bride for the Wedding Supper of the Lamb
Col 1:24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

There is a willingness to suffer for the ultimate cause of preparing the Bride for the Bridegroom.

We have a motivation to help God the Father with His dream the Church – the Bride for His Son at the great Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Wedding season in Cape Town draws couples in love from around the world – some have two weddings – one in their home country and the celebration on one of Cape Town’s vineyard venues in the picturesque mountains. No expense is spared, and some even have 3 photographers to cover one event. The lavish meals and decorations are mere glimpses of what God is preparing for Jesus in heaven!

Rev 21:2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Jesus gave us the best example as husbands –
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
Eph 5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

But now apply that to the preparation of the Church. The giving of oneself to this cause of Church at this stage is to be valued. Unfortunately there are doctrines of demons in the world that break down the concept of church. While there are indeed false churches, there remains the blueprint of Church that Jesus died for:
Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus had a motivation to finish His Church:
Mat 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

As We help Him with His dream the Church, He will make your dreams come true:
Php 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Jesus has rewards for those who advance and fulfil His cause:
Rev 22:12 \”And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

The appeal today is to identify, commit to and advance His cause of seeing all nations saved, prepared and part of His Bride the Church of the Firstborn Registered in heaven. Our local churches and organizations around the world being veils through which people can enter – the torn flesh of Christ – the broken body of believers, imperfect yet perfected forever through His sanctifying blood.
