Jesus Christ the Healer

Mar 6:53  When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there.

Mar 6:54  And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him,

Mar 6:55  ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was.

Mar 6:56  Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

Elements of Jesus Christ the Healer for us who believe:

1. Anchor: God will give you an anchor of hope when you cross over the sea of doubt with Christ the Healer in your boat!
2. Recognition: When you operate from that place of confident trust and hope people will recognize Jesus in you.
3. Attraction: As Christ is formed in us as a church people will run to you and bring the sick, the lame, the oppressed wherever they hear that you are.
4. Entrance: God will give you entrance into the villages, cities, and country as well as the market places of your sphere of influence.
5. Touch: People will beg for a touch of Jesus in the last days too and as manmy as touch Christ within you the hope of glory will be made well.

There are more witnesses to this amazing ministry of healing in that time, by John the beloved disciple who wrote:

Joh 21:24  This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

Joh 21:25  And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

The Good News is that the elements of Christ the Healer are available to us who believe today!
Joh 14:12  \”\”Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Joh 14:13  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Joh 14:14  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Joh 14:15  \”\”If you love Me, keep My commandments.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—

Joh 14:17  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

By that same Holy Spirit we operate like Jesus Christ the Healer for our generation today, collectively representing Him to a sick and dying world as the Saviour.

That explains why the books of the world cannot contain the things Jesus did, because so many touched Him! Think about the people who have “touched” your life, “touched” this church and come into contact with Jesus Christ the Healer in you. Now add that together with all the people in the church and multiply it by all the future moments people will touch Christ in you. Then multiply it by the disciples you make – books will not be able to contain it too!
