Preached by Apostle Aje Pelser
Harvester Reformational Church, Cape Town. October 2025

Picture a diver on a high diving board, getting ready to dive and perform a series of flips before breaking the surface of the water for a perfect entry. Take a deep breath and visualize the jump, step forward and commit all the way, no doubts, no other thoughts than the training you have received. Execute the will to complete the sequence of events that are now inevitable and deal with each turn of events with grace and conditioning that comes from years of discipline and fitness training. Enter the water and swim to the surface. Punch your hand in the air for victory and then evaluate the dive. Repeat until perfection becomes a lifestyle. Not a frantic striving, but a restful state knowing you have done all you can, and the rest is faith in the God given ability and hours of application of perfect training. Heb. 4:1-13. Practice doesn’t make perfect if the practice isn’t perfect. That is why people can serve God for years without allowing Him to perfect them.
James:
Jas 1:2-4 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
