Vision about Grace

We saw a vision at prayer on Friday about a blanket of grace covering us. But then we reached in and were enveloped by grace moving in the substance and unlimited power and ability of God’s grace. Not just for salvation but for living the Christian life with God’s unmerited favour, God’s riches at Christ’s expense, divine ability to fulfil His purpose in our lives.

Access codes to unlock God’s Grace in our lives are found throughout the scriptures:

Humility

God gives grace to the humble

Proverbs 3:34

I Peter 5:5

Get rid of pride:  He resists the proud

James 4:6

Access Grace by the Spirit of Grace

The Spirit of Grace makes people look to the Crucified One

Zechariah 12:10

10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

The Name of Jesus is the most powerful code word!

Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ, the law by Moses

John 1:17

17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Acts 3 Act 3:16  And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Act 4:9  If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well,

Act 4:10  let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

Act 4:11  This is the 'STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED BY YOU BUILDERS, WHICH HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE.'

Act 4:12  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.'

Great grace releases great power as apostles gave witness about the resurrection

Acts 4:33

33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.

There was great grace upon the first Church in Jerusalem.

Grace in dictionary terms: attractive, charming, goodwill, favour, regenerating, inspiring influence

Grace: Gr. ‘charis’, ‘khane’- kindness, favour (well-flavoured), pleasant, to stoop in kindness towards someone

; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): – acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).

Grace on your children makes them strong in spirit and fills them with wisdom

Luke 2:40

40 And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Grace unlocks the ability to reign in this life through Christ

Romans 5:15-17

15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Grace brings joy and liberality even in the midst of trials

2 Corinthians 8:1

Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia:

Weakness before God unlocks His grace that strengthens

God’s grace is always sufficient for me

2 Corinthians 12:9

9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The riches of grace unlocks redemption and forgiveness

Ephesians 1:7

Those who go back into the bondage of rules and regulations fall from grace

Galatians 5:4

We are saved by grace through faith

Ephesians 2:8

Grace and peace can be multiplied

I Peter 1:2

You can grow in grace and in knowledge of Christ

II Peter 3:18

Men who deny the Lord are ungodly and turn grace into lasciviousness

Jude 4

Do not frustrate the grace of God, live by faith

Galatians 2:21

God shows the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness towards us

Ephesians 2:7

You can obtain mercy at the throne of grace

Hebrews 4:16

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord

Genesis 6:8

Examples of others who found grace in the eyes of the Lord

Moses

Exodus 33:12

Abraham

Genesis 18:3

Gideon

Judges 6:17

Ruth 2:10

Esther 2:17

What has God graced you to do? What can you speak graciously about?

Ask for grace in areas that you lack graciousness. God wants his children to become gracious people who can demonstrate the grace of God to a lost world. Grace in your home, grace in you business, grace in your relationships, grace in the midst of tribulation: I am what I am by the grace of God

I Corinthians 15:10

Opposite of Grace: Disgrace: to wilt like a flower in the sun, to fail or faint, fade away, dishonour, morally wicked, despise, esteem lightly, come to nought, wither like an old skinbag that collapses when it is empty, looses shape: when a skinbag is full it resembles the shape of a harp

His grace unlocks our justification

Romans 3:24

Where sin abounds grace much more abounds

Romans 5:20

Story of grace: Jesus took my sinful nature to the cross. If you see Jesus alone on the cross you see a poor martyr, but if you see yourself there with him He becomes your Saviour! He cancelled the certificate of debt against us and gave us His spirit as guarantee that our sins are forgiven. It is impossible to walk the straight and narrow way like a trapeze artiste; his blood is the net of grace that catches our falling souls.

Accept yourself as Christ accepts you. Forgive yourself as Christ forgives you. Stop criticizing yourself for Christ is not a critic. Stop condemning yourself for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Stop basing your self-acceptance on your performance, start relying on grace. Now go and do likewise to others: accept your wife, your husband just as they are because Jesus died for them too.

Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Grace obviates any obligation to gain merit and favour through good works. Any mixture that adds human merit rules grace out completely.

Grace puts one in an entirely new dimension before God. Once we know our position in Christ it releases faith to draw on Grace.

God provides grace for salvation, safety, prosperity, ability and strength – in spite of our imperfections and mistakes!

We do not need more knowledge: we need to know how to draw on the gift of Grace that already belongs to us! (Holy Spirit instructed me in February 1993) We need to know how to approach the throne of grace boldly so that we might obtain mercy to help us in the time of need.
