Status Updates for Sons

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. Status updates that transform us from Orphan to Son Status

The World is waiting for the revelation of the Sons of God
Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, \”Abba, Father.\”
Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Rom 8:17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Updated Love
It all starts with Love. God loved the world so He sent His son.
We receive His love and love never fails! If we love one another the world sees that we are disciples of Jesus Christ. This is a harsh world that is crying out for love, so if there is any update needed in the status of the Church, love is a good start! 1 Cor 13:4-8 is a workable definition.

1Co 13:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
1Co 13:5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
1Co 13:6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
1Co 13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8 Love never fails.
We love God so we want to keep His commandments.

Update in Faithfulness
To Keep His Commandments, we need obedience and faithfulness that comes from abiding in Him, and bearing the fruit of the Spirit, especially faithfulness.
the New Covenant update is that you allow God’s Spirit to write His laws on your heart and mind.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Heb 10:15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
Heb 10:16 \”THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND IN THEIR MINDS I WILL WRITE THEM,\”

Update in Prayer
Jesus lives to make intercession for us. That is His high priestly duty. Look at the connection between Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit that executes the Father’s will in the name of Jesus! Our updated spiritual status is linked to the same protocol. We do the will of the Father in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. That’s why being filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit needs to be explained for every generation. You have the Spirit of God when are born again. You get immersed or baptized with the Spirit to speak in tongues and access His gifts. You can get re-filled with the Spirit from time to time like we see in Acts when the church prayed for the apostles in prison and they were all filled with the Spirit and the place was shaken!
So there are levels.

Update in Help
The Father sends your Helper.
I have received great comfort form the Helper, a He is constantly with me. That voice inside you telling you “it’s all right, you can do this!” or “Don’t worry, you can overcome that…” or “Get up nad try again!” is your Helper the Holy Spirit.
Without the Spirit of God, that breath of life that infused man with the life source of God from the beginning, we could not even get up in the morning.
There is eternal resources in our spirit, and it is activated when we reconnect with His Spirit. Then the power and ideas and enthusiasm flows.

Update in Truth
The Spirit of Truth you know. One thing that is updated when we walk as sons of God, is that we realize truth is a Person. Jesus is the way, the Truth and the Life.
You get to know the truth, then it is easy to discern the lie.
The Devil works in lies, and some of them come to you in the first person: “I’ll never make it…”
Or “Just give up and face the facts…”
Or “I am tired” or “I am constantly depressed”. Or “Nothing is working…” Or “They won’t accept me…” or “I don’t believe I can …” or “I am scared…”

Well he is a liar and the father of all lies. Devils lie to each other. Combat lies with the truth. It takes the same effort to believe the truth versus the lie and you’ll feel better for the same effort!
Tune into a new station of Truth.

Update in the awareness of His Presence
His Spirit indwelling versus just alongside, or upon us.
Stop looking for outside solutions and start to meditate on Christ within your hope of Glory. The Holy Spirit within you can remind you of the relevant words of Jesus for your situation right now.

Update to Adoption as Sons
Transform from orphan to mature adoption as sons with full rights and privileges
When you mature your inheritance is released. We have looked at this before in teachings, but if something is worth repeating, something is worth repeating!
Do you want to inherit the promises? You get it through faith and patience – qualities of mature sons. We are not tantrum throwing babies anymore, we do not pray that way either!
