Decisions

Passage: Philippians 1:21-26

Made any major decisions lately?
Did any of the following thoughts cross your mind:
Should I or shouldn't I?
Is it me or is it God?
What will others say?

It's a tough world with tough choices. But learn from Faith Heroes to see how it's done.

I recently preached this message at a local high school, and you might find it helpful in a decisive time of your life!Decisions

Here are effective tools to use when making decisions.

1. Prayer.
?If anyone of you lacks wisdom let him ask for it…? James 1:5

2. Bible Reading ? meditation and revelation knowledge
Consult the Word ? it is a light unto your feet ? enlightened in order to make a decision.

3. Led by Holy Spirit
Jesus was led by the Spirit. Paul ? Macedonian call…

4. Godly Examples
Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises

5. Operating according to the 3rd option
Matt. 4:1-11; Mark 1:12,13; Luke 4:1-13
Jesus tempted of the devil in the areas that He would become Lords of Lords and King of Kings.
Tempted to make bread Later He feeds 5000, 4000 Bread of Life
Tempted with kingdoms of the world if he bows to Satan. At the name of Jesus every knee would bow, every tongue confess ? He is Lord King of Kings, Lord of Lords
Tempted to commit suicide, angels… Later He raises the dead, and is resurrected from the dead. Resurrection & the Life

Instead of saying Yes or No when being tempted, take the 3rd option and do what Jesus would have done in a situation ? defeating the tempter with the Word do God.

Drugs Yes/No? Rather say I get enough of a rush from life without it, so who needs it.
