Revelations of Christ

Revelations of Christ
By Apostle Aje Pelser, Harvester Reformational Church, Cape Town.
24 May 2015

Apostle Peter mentions instances that reveal Christ in us to a lost World. His first epistle covers the blessings, duties and trials of believers in Christ. But he also balances it with the glory that outweighs the suffering “for a short while”.

Your election starts with His Blood
1Pe 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
It all starts with the Blood of Jesus

Resurrection Life is revealed in those who are born again “Begotten again to a living hope” (Link 1 Pet er 1:23)
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Resurrection life is the cork that can’t be drowned, no matter how much water is surrounds it! It is not the amount of water or persecution or trouble, but the inner configuration of the cork – the density of the substance is lighter than water so it floats! No matter how deep it gets pushed down it rises again!

Our inheritance is incorruptible because the seed of the Word in our lives is incorruptible.
1Pe 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

Our Genuine Faith reveals Christ in fiery trials.
Trials are extended tests of your faith. Our joy is in believing. Trials bring grief, but we rejoice in the hope of salvation in Christ Jesus.
1Pe 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
1Pe 1:7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
1Pe 1:8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
1Pe 1:9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

Prophets and Angels looked forward to your life revealed in Jesus Christ
1Pe 1:12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.
1Pe 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pe 1:14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
1Pe 1:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
1Pe 1:16 because it is written, \”BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.\”

God brings His grace – full power and ability as Christ is revealed in us.
Holiness is a characteristic of God’s Children – the sons revealed to the expectant earth.
Holiness means to be set apart for God. We live in the world, but we are not of the world. God has sent us out into all the world to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Not to build people around ourselves, but around Jesus Christ the Chief cornerstone of the Church. Study the life of Christ and the book of Acts, because then you see the cornerstone and the foundation of apostles and prophets in church life. The apostolic doctrine that Paula and Peter and John and James put together for us, all hinge from their time with Jesus – the cornerstone of our doctrinal beliefs. Never take one scripture alone, always read it in the context of Jesus’ teachings, the Acts of the Apostles and the letters describing our position in Jesus Christ. Without that foundation people will get stuck on selected passages and preach heresy – not understanding the grace and salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ that he shed His blood so dearly for… For instance, Jesus came to fulfil the law and the prophets, but his principle that “mercy triumphs over judgement” tells the formerly adulterous woman – she is no longer that – to go and sin no more. People wanted to judge her but they all had hidden sin in their lives. They wanted to take out their inner frustrations on someone caught in the act, to make them feel better about themselves and appease their inner sense of guilt – “Well at least I am not as bad as that one!” That license to keep on sinning and condemning others is deception. That judgement has to bow before the throne of Grace where one finds mercy to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:16.
So while the judgment of the law is right, mercy is a higher law that access God’s ability to change and forgive. It is a very powerful force and it is a core value of the kingdom of heaven.

Christ Within becomes our only Hope of Glory

Col 1:24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,
Col 1:25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,
Col 1:26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.
Col 1:27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Col 1:28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
Col 1:29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

From Mike Wood’s Notes at the 1st Apostolic Summit 2002, Hermanus, South Africa
“Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord! This is always projected into the future. This is just like looking at a historical Christ. It should be my eyes have seen the coming of the Glory of the Lord, the Christ in you.”
“It is the end of a day: there is a new day coming. When a day ends you start to see shadows. Things do not look as clear as they used to. We are coming into an entirely new day in God. There is a whole new revelation to be revealed to us.”

GLORY. (Is. 60:1) chabod (kah-vohd); Strong’s #3519: Weightiness; that which is substantial or heavy; glory, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches, and excellency. The root of chabod is chabad, “to be heavy, glorious, notable,” or “to be renowned.”

“Glory is an inner recognition of what God really is! When the word becomes flesh and dwell among you as you! Stop looking for the glory that is going to come one day. It must first appear in the body! Christ in you, is the only hope of Glory. We have gone as far as we can with one more time with feeling!”
“This is the new paradigm, the new criteria, this is something only the Spirit of God can do. You are not taking the place of Jesus Christ, but you need to take your place in Christ, by faith. As you sit and hear the word of God your eyes start to see the coming of the glory of God! It is not an outward manifestation but an inward one”. Mike Wood.

“Jesus said go and tell that old fox (Herod) that today and tomorrow I do signs and wonders, but the third day I will tear down this temple and raise it up again. He spoke about a culminating feast of tabernacles and our bodies are the Tabernacle. As you begin to recognize the glory of the word of God in you the glory is being revealed.” Mike Wood.

Luk 13:31 On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, \”Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.\”
Luk 13:32 And He said to them, \”Go, tell that fox, \’Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.\’

From G5046; to complete, that is, (literally) accomplish, or (figuratively) consummate (in character): – consecrate, finish, fulfil, (make) perfect.

Lastly, we are redeemed through the precious blood of Christ
1Pe 1:18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
1Pe 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
1Pe 1:20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

The Manifestation of Jesus Christ was for you! Any revelation should lead to manifest results. When Jesus became flesh and took our sins in His body on the cross, it bought our redemption – paid for our sins. Not only that, it released power for us to change and become who God meant us to be in Christ.

The wonderful thing about Christ being revealed is that you can only reveal a part of Christ, you need the Church to reveal the rest that you lack. Being part of a Church is so powerful. It reveals the part of Christ Jesus you are searching for. My brother and sister in Christ fulfil what I need and help me in the areas I fail. Connecting to the body of Christ in a local Church – don’t fool yourself to think that you are part of the greater Body of Christ if you do not function locally in a church. That is a heresy and a deception taught from hell in these last days.

Be careful of the out of church false church! Those who have left churches to sit at home caring only for themselves and relating only to teaches who tickle their ears have been handed over to error and will face judgment for influencing others to leave churches.

Jesus builds his church – one revelation at a time – yes as you see Christ revealed in your life, you add that valuable revelation of Christ to a group of believers and like pixels coming together the world starts to see the revelation of Christ in you the hope of glory!
