God is our strength

Passage: Ephesians 6:10

God is our strength
Win the battle!
The Lord is my strength and my song! David composed that line in one of his psalms. The secret of men and women of faith in the Bible is that they found out that God is their strength. In other words God works on their behalf.
Joel 3:10 – Let the weak say I am strong
I John 2:4 – the Word of God makes you strong: sins forgiven, overcome the wicked one in your life, you must be strong to know God and to let His Word abide in you.
We serve the strongest being in the universe!
Isaiah 41:10 He says ‘fear not for I am with you! Be not dismayed for I am your God! I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you!’
Don’t allow Satan to discourage you to cause the devil’s 3D experience to have an effect on your life: dismay, doubt and despondency.
Ephesians 6:10 Paul reminds us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
How Satan works:
He seeks a subtle opening in your life so that He can have all your rights and privileges as a child of God to be removed, so that you loose your privileged position. He looks for a weakness, something where he can trip you up. He tries many different strategies till he sees where he can get you.
Fame, fortune, flattery are all part of his arsenal.
But men and women of God learned to overcome the enemy of their souls and lived long enough to correct the fault lines in their character and personality until they were able to live right enough to be remembered! Even though they were weak they became strong through faith in the Lord. Instead of blaming others they took the blame and stood firm.
The devil tries to remove you from godly activities to bring you into fleshly and demonic activities. Then fear of judgment sets in. What he wants to do is to separate you from God. He comes to steal your joy, peace and right standing with God and then he tries to kill you and destroy you. He is your arch enemy.
But God is stronger than the devil!
When you face a conflict you need to be strong inwardly.
How to build a strong spirit
1.Recognize God is your strength and that He has given you a strong spirit (II Timothy 1:7) God has not given up on you! He knows in the end you will overcome and win over the devil because Jesus defeated him once for us all. When you operate in fear God does not recognize you: is this one of my children?
2. Bring your soul and flesh under the control of your regenerated spirit. Don’t let intellect or emotions rule your life. Don’t mind if your flesh squeals and squirms, just command it to obey your spirit. Don’t live in the memory of past failures. Discipline your soul and body.
3. Learn to pray with confidence in God. It brings authority. Overcome evil and sin in prayer. Pray for others to overcome as well.
4. Wear God’s armor and use God’s weapons.
Ephesians 6:10-18 and II Corinthians 10:4, 5
5. Be led and prompted by the Spirit – there is no guilt or condemnation for those who are led by the Spirit (Romans 8:1) for they are children of God (Romans 8:16)
6. Do exploits for God (Daniel 10:19) (Jeremiah 21:5) Isaiah 35:4)
Strong: ‘Chazaq (kwasak) fasten upon, seize, courageous, repair, fortify, restrain, conquer, play the man, be valiant, continue, maintain, confirm and establish.
Exploits: Take action, display strength, march through and create wealth (Daniel 11:28, 32).
Know God: spiritual understanding, widen knowledge to teach, know the strategies of the enemy
Those who are gifted and talented will be tempted and even stumble but this will only refine and purify them until God totally approves of them. Daniel says those who are wise and know their God shall lead many to righteousness and shall shine like stars in heaven.
God has given you a spirit of power, love and self-control.

The three ‘F’s’:
Faith – in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (I John 5:4, 5) gives confidence that God hears us when we pray
Fervor – John 6:68/ John 15:7 True Vine bears fruit
Favor – II Corinthians 5:4 – With the Father John 14:6 – the way, the truth and the life – no man comes to the Father but by Me.
