Levels of Unity
3 Levels of Unity
First preached by Apostle Andre in Africa, using a wooden mortar and pestle and indigenous sweet potatoes. He ran around feeding Pastors with his fingers, but some were too proud to eat!
When the meeting began people treated each other accordign ot the size fo their church, aferwards they were one! Praise God for the wisdom God gave him that day, and I had the privilege to preach this message on Sunday. God sithe Master Chef that mashes us together so the world can taste our lives and see that the Lord is good!
BY Apostle Andre Pelser
In Paul’s letters we find three levels of unity mentioned. We can categorize unity as follows:
Unity of the Spirit
Unity of Faith
Perfection
Unity of the Spirit
We worship together in spirit and in truth. It is possible to have unity of the spirit because the Spirit of God has been poured out on all flesh.
Eph 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
Eph 4:2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
Eph 4:3 endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Unity of Faith
Dr Gray used to say that Unity of Faith comes through the teaching & preaching of the Word, because faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word of God.
Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
Eph 4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Eph 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
Perfection of Unity
This perfect unity is what Jesus Prays for – let them be one as we are one.
John 17
Joh 17:20 'I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
Joh 17:21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
Joh 17:23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Mashed Sweet Potatoes that have been cooked taste better – “taste and See that the Lord is Good”; consider the process of peeling, cuting up and cooking, then mashing together until there is a smooth consistency!
We no longer see each other as threats but we all contribute to the greater taste.
We have been through suffering together for the sake of the Gospel, and we all submit to the mashing for the sake of the body of Christ. When we are one like this, we have the measure of the stature of Christ.
The reason Jesus wants us to be one is so that the world may believe that God sent Him. He prays this for all who believe in His Word.
Psa 133:1 A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.
Psa 133:3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
Aaron and Oil – Anointing for the Royal Priesthood.
Garments – Anoinint gcollects at the edge – anointing will be stronger in the last days, glory of the latter house will be greater than the former.
Dew of Hermon
The name of the majestic mountain in which the Anti-Lebanon range terminates to the South (Deu_3:8, etc.). It reaches a height of 9,200 ft. above the sea, and extends some 16 to 20 miles from North to South. It was called Sirion by the Sidonians (Deu_3:9; compare Psa_29:6), and Senir by the Amorites (Deu_3:9). It is also identified with Sion (Deu_4:48). See SIRION; SENIR; SION. Sometimes it is called “Mt. Hermon” (Deu_3:8; Jos_11:17; 1Ch_5:23, etc.); at other times simply “Hermon” (Jos_11:3; Psa_89:12, etc.). Psa 89:12 The northH6828 and the southH3225 thouH859 hast createdH1254 them: TaborH8396 and HermonH2768 shall rejoiceH7442 in thy name.H8034
rejoice H7442 rânan raw-nan'
A primitive root; properly to creak (or emit a stridulous sound), that is, to shout (usually for joy): – aloud for joy, cry out, be joyful, (greatly, make to) rejoice, (cause to) shout (for joy), (cause to) sing (aloud, for joy, out), triumph.
Mountains of Zion – True Church Hebrews 12:22-24
The Lord commands a blessing in the spiritual place called Church, where brothers dwell together in unity. No Church on earth can claim to be the true church, because the Church of the Firstborn registered in heaven is the Only True Church. (See sermon on the subject.)
However, we enter God’s presence (The Holiest) through the veil, that is His flesh, His body represented in local churches on the earth. Imperfect and torn, yet access points into th spiritual church, where the spirits of just men made perfect have already come by faith to Jesus the Mediator of a Better Covenant – the heavenly Jerusalem, Mount Zion where there is an innumerable company of angels. Read Hebrews 12:22-24 again and meditate on the Church of the Firstborn realizing “we have come” by faith into that true Church in heaven.
Life forevermore is mentioned in the Psalm as well speaking of the Eternal Life that Jesus gives through His eternal Gospel of the Kingdom, to His Eternal Church His Bride.
