See the Invisible to do the Impossible

Living this life of faith, walking by the spirit, seeing the invisible realm and worshipping an Invisible God is really a supernatural life: it is above the natural. Only God can make it possible to live such a life. He offers it to everyone who believes in His Son.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Paul’s apostolic prayer for the Ephesian Church started with the request that God would open the eyes of their understanding in the knowledge of Christ. Paul’s own eyes opened up when he encountered a living Christ on the way to Damascus while he was busy persecuting the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Moses used his eyes of faith to see the Lord before him as he led Israel through the wilderness to the Promised Land. His eyes opened at the burning bush while he watched his sheep.

Abraham desired to see the day of the Lord and saw it – long before it happened: his eyes must have opened when he saw the provision of the Lord to prevent him from slaying Isaac the son of Promise when he saw a ram caught in the thicket behind him on the mountain of sacrifice.

Henoch, the seventh from Adam, saw the coming of the Lord and prophesied it: he saw him coming in the clouds with a multitude of Angels and the saints with him!

Daniel saw the Angel of the Lord in the lion’s den and survived a night in the den! His friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego saw the fourth man in the fire with them and survived being thrown into a heated oven without their clothes being burned. The only things that burnt were the ropes that tied their hands as prisoners!

Joshua saw the Leader of the Hosts of Heaven and knew God was with him to conquer the Promised Land and lead people into it and give them possession.

Elijah and Elisha saw the chariots of fire and the horses. Elisha could see them from then on even when a whole army came to arrest him. When his servant panicked he asked the Lord to open the eyes of the young man to see that those who are with them are more than those who are against them.

It is by the eyes of faith that we see Jesus Christ, crucified for our sins and by His stripes we are healed. It is by the eyes of faith that we see how the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost when a mighty wind came and fiery tongues divided themselves and sat on each of the 120 disciples and they spoke in other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. This was a sign that they would reach all the nations of the world – not just a satisfaction of personal curiosity and entertainment of the saints.

By the eyes of faith the apostle Paul saw the emergence of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ as a reality in the earth. He shaped it with the words that he preached and wrote. By the eyes of faith apostle John saw the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ about the End Times and wrote it down in coded language so that it could be preserved for two thousand years!

Today God wants to open your spiritual eyes too so that you can see the Invisible to do the Impossible. There is something only you were designed to do. Anything is possible to those who can believe.

I believe in the Challenge of Missions. I believe it is possible to reach all the nations of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe a church can reach all the nations of the world if they stand together. I believe God’s heart is happy when we reach out to other nations and make a concerted joint effort to spread the Good News of His Son Jesus Christ, about the formation of His body, the Church of which He is the Head and about the Gospel of The Kingdom of God. God has blessed my family because I have committed myself to go to other lands.

Yes, you will be criticised for doing what you believe in; yes, there might be light afflictions and suffering and persecution; yes, there might be trials of your faith, troubles and temptations – but all these things work an eternal weight of glory for you that is worth far more than all the troubles you have had to face in your life!

I believe it is possible to restore and rebuild the ancient ruins of churches that were discarded and left empty in our country. I believe we can raise the funds to pay for it in cash. I believe if we all see the vision together we can do it. I believe if we see it, God will let others see it too. God will let people see what we see together. If the vision is clear the people can tap into it.

In order to do what seems impossible we have to see the invisible. Only God can make us see the invisible realm. That is the realm of the spirit. That is the realm of faith. That is the realm in which God creates things on our behalf. While we look at what we can see it takes no great faith. While we are only seeing what our natural eyes can see, we are bound in the visible realm.

Jesus told His disciples to, ‘lift up your eyes – now – and see the harvest it is white to be harvested!’ Today the Holy Spirit wants to lift your eyes above the shadows of this world. He wants you to see by the eyes of faith what God has prepared for those who love him. You are different than the people who do not know God. You are a child of the King. You are a child of God. If you have not yet accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour do so today, because that qualifies you to operate in the invisible realm together with Him and all the saints who believe.

Jesus made a new way of living possible for all who would put their trust in Him. Believe it today. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Him. He reveals the Father to us. The Holy Spirit tells us more about Jesus. The Word of God speaks to us and shows us what to do. We have a tremendous privilege to look into the invisible world of the spirit and to do the impossible things on the earth according to God’s designs. We are co-labourers with Him. We are co-heirs with Jesus Christ. We are His workmanship and we walk the good works He created for us before the foundation of the earth.

Let us rise up to the occasion and do what God placed in our hearts to do. Let us seize the moment and be strong in the time of our testing so that God can receive all the glory and praise and honour in the church.

Our God will help us, He will do it – and people will be amazed and they will have to admit that there is a Living God in Heaven who works through His people to get His will done on earth. As we help God with His dream He will make your dreams come true.
