I do not think we have scratched the surface of realising just what a privilege it is to enjoy the corporate blessings of being part of the body of Christ. As a church we share in more blessings than we dare to count. We can draw on a pool of victory for instance and rely on each other's victories so that none of us have to be defeated. Every time someone wins a victory it increases the joint pool of victory for all the members of a church. Jesus secures the victory on our behalf – every time!

Apostolic epistles were written to teach Christians how to develop a victorious way of living. Every individual life affects the corporate lives of a church. We cannot do what we want to because we have a responsibility towards our brothers and sisters. Every victory we win individually builds up the corporate victory. We can be assured of victory because of the following reasons:
1. Christ got the victory over Satan
I John 3:8 – He came to destroy the works of the evil one
Jesus broke off all the sin handles in his earthly life so that Satan could not manipulate or control him. He resisted every temptation and became our champion! That is why we praise Him and worship Him; there is no one like Him. If we deny our old selfish, sinful life we will discover His life within.
2. God did not design us to be defeated
II Corinthians 2:14 – He always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus
God does not want his children to live defeated Christian lives. Our heavenly father rejoices when we win another battle over evil. Heaven’s pavilions rejoice every time we win a battle in Jesus’ Name.
3. All power belongs to Jesus
Matthew 28:19 – All power has been given unto Me!
If all power belongs to him, how much power is left? Nothing. The devil has no power. The only power the devil has is to deceive us into thinking how powerful he is. When you begin to realise that you start getting the winning signal on the inside.
4. Jesus has overcome the world.
John 16:33 – Be of good cheer I have overcome the world
The zeitgeist is the sum total of all the attitudes, behaviour styles, fashions and appetites of a generation taking no account of God.
We have been delivered from the corruption which is in the world through lust and can partake in the divine nature because of the great and precious promises given to us.
II Peter 1:3,4
5. By faith in Christ we can overcome the world
I John 5:4, 5
Those who are born of God overcome the world; and this is our victory: we overcome by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
6. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost
I Corinthians 6:19
7. By adding virtue to our faith we overcome corruption
II Peter 1: 4-9
8. By remoulding our minds from within we overcome
Romans 12:2

9. We overcome pride, lust and sin by faith
I John 2:15-17
10. We overcome sickness in Jesus’ Name
I Peter 2:24
11. We overcome demons in His Name
Mark 16:15-20
12. We do the will of God continually
Philippians 2:13

Victory in the Church
Christ won the battle and gives you the victory! The battle is the Lord’s and the spoils of war are ours. Our Lord continually causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus! He has made us more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Lord wants you to remember that He overcame the world and that your faith in Him can help you overcome anything in this world. There is nothing too difficult for our God. There is nothing impossible for Him. Everything is possible if we can believe.
Unto Him be glory in the church both now and evermore! We share in the victories Christ obtained for us: we have victory over death because he conquered death and hell and the grave! He has given eternal life to everyone who believes in him.
We have victory over sickness and disease for by his stripes we are healed.
We have victory over the demonic attacks on our lives because he came to destroy the works of the devil.
We have victory over depression because he gives us the garment of praise.
We have victory over separation from God because Jesus’ blood has made a new way for us.
We have victory over sin, because God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that we may become the righteousness of God through faith.
Every victory I win becomes a victory for our church body of believers!
Every victory you win becomes a victory for me!
We share in the synergy of joint victory!
Jesus is our victor! He is our champion! We sing songs cheering Him on as He wins victory after victory in every life and we rejoice in his continual goodness and mercy. We testify of what he has done and we celebrate in his presence with singing, shouting, dancing and prophesying about the great things of God!
