?Joy that Remains?

Moses looked to the greater riches of God and rejected the pasing pleasures of sin. Jesus endured the cross and looked to the joy set before him. Worldly joy is superficial and fleeting. There remains an inward joy of the Holy Spirit that energizes our spirits to true happiness and joy that belongs to the realm of God?s kingdom.This is how to find that joy that remains:

God?s kingdom is one of Joy
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Therefore we have here a picture of Jesus being extremely happy and showing it by jumping up and down with excitement.
Wuest?s translation of the New Testament adds: ?This rejoicing being energized by the Holy Spirit.?

In chores:
We can either complain about the simple chores of life, or we can decide to have some fun accomplishing the near impossible task of keeping a house tidy.

Having grown up in the ministry, I have learnt to enjoy different personalities.
Dr. Sachs used to phone us at 6 am on a Saturday morning and sing his song of the Lord over the phone. Upsetting at first, it later became hilarious ? he would sing regularly in church ? opera style! Eventually he recorded a CD ? he died a happy man.
