Ways to become the Light of the World
- We radiate God’s Light as a church
Rev 21:9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Rev 21:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
- We Abiding in the Light
1Jn_2:9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.
1Jn_2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
- We are Walking in the light through fellowship
1Jn 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
- We embrace the Light and manifest His Glory, exposing all darkness
Eph 5:13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
- We fulfil our Apostolic Mandate is to turn people from darkness to light
Act 26:18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
- We follow Jesus the Light of the World
Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Joh 9:6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.
Joh 9:7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.
- Believing in the Light – Jesus – makes us sons of the light
Joh 12:36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.
- We purify our vision and are filled with light.
Mat 6:22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.
- We Shine our Light before men
Mat 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Mat 5:15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Notes on Light Emission
A light emission spectrum is a unique pattern of bright colored lines produced when atoms or molecules release energy as light.
God imparts energy for us to move into different orbitals of existence and changes our inner configuration to excite to another level – the work of the anointing that breaks the yoke of limits and levels and releases flow.
How an Emission Spectrum Works
- Atoms gain energy from heat or electricity.
- Electrons move to a higher energy state.
- Electrons drop back down to a lower state.
- Energy releases as a light photon.
- A prism splits the light into distinct bright lines.
This correlates with Acuna’s teaching that both the states of friction and flow are part of the same configuration of being. There are times when we have energy and feel powerful and times when we feel empty and spent. In being poured out as drink offerings, the energy released comes forth as light and shows Christ-likeness through our unique suffering and resulting exaltation, glory and vindication.
Php 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:
Php 4:12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
Joh 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Summary:
We become the Light of the World by radiating God’s glory, abiding and walking in the light through love and fellowship, turning people from darkness to light, following Jesus, believing in Him as sons of light, purifying our vision, and shining before men so they glorify our Father; like a light emission spectrum, God imparts energy that changes our inner configuration, breaks limits, and releases Christ-likeness through friction, flow, suffering, and glory.
