Healing Maxims
Healing Maxims
Preached by Apostle Aje Pelser, Harvester Reformational Church, Cape Town
Divine health became a core revelation of my calling when I was three years old and God healed me of chronic tonsillitis. My parents prayed through one night and the fever broke, and I have believed God for divine health ever since and prayed for everyone who would receive Jesus’ name.
Here are some maxims of divine health:
1. Healing is the divine nature in you working out through your body. Divine health is a state of being in Christ. He suffered in the flesh, felt rejection in His soul and felt forsaken on the cross for us, so that we can be restored to union with God. Godliness with contentment is great gain, 1 Tim. 6:6.
That same contentment by faith, my relationship with God is enough, positions you in a state of divine health, regardless of symptoms. Healing is your body catching up with who you already are in Crist Jesus. A completely new creation. I have seen people overcome pain and suffering by the power of the resurrected Christ. The power of the Lord is always present to heal because of the Holy Spriit that has been poured out.
2. If you believe in My name you will lay hands on the sick and they will recover:
Mar 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
3. God is restoring our body the way it was from the beginning in Him. Sickness needs to leave this temple.
There is battle between this realm and the source realm that Jesus paid for us to revisit and remain in forever with Him.
1Co 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
1Co 15:55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
2Co_5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Rev_21:5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
2Ti 1:10 and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
4. God desires you to prosper and be in health.
3Jn 1:2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
5. Operating in Godly Wisdom promotes divine health.
God’s Word and His wisdom – personified –
Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
He showed us His pattern of rest at creation – when people ignore His wisdom in resting, the insubordination breaks down the divine health pattern.
6. Think of healing in spirit, soul and body.
That is why forgiveness and healing are interchangeable.
Mat 9:5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?
Mat 9:6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.”
Mat 9:7 And he rose and went home.
Mat_6:12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
Mat_6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Mat_6:15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mar 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Luk_17:3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
Luk_17:4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Luk_23:34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.
7. Great faith understands the authority in the name of Jesus:
Psa 107:20 He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Matthew 8:5-10
Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
Mat 8:9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
