Php 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Rejoice G5463 chairō Thayer Definition:
1) to rejoice, be glad
2) to rejoice exceedingly
3) to be well, thrive
4) in salutations, hail!
5) at the beginning of letters: to give one greeting, salute
Part of Speech: verb

he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Rom 12:12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
Rom 12:13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

Reasons to rejoice
We rejoice because we understand the Word of God!
Neh 8:8 So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading.
Neh 8:12 And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them.
Deu 12:18 But you must eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God chooses, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all to which you put your hands.

Hannah rejoiced because God answered her prayer and gave her a boy, Samuel.

We shout for joy because we trust in God
Psa 5:11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.

We rejoice in God’s Strength
Psa_21:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The king shall have joy in Your strength, O LORD; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

We rejoice because God’s Judgments are righteous
Psa_48:11 Let Mount Zion rejoice, Let the daughters of Judah be glad, Because of Your judgments.

We rejoice because God helps us
Psa_63:7 Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.

We rejoice in every day the Lord makes for us!

We Rejoice in Hope

We rejoice for the marriage supper of the Lamb!
Remember that it is all about a wedding. Jesus is coming for a pure and spotless bride – his Church!
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
