Here are some reasons why your decision to study the Bible is the perfect new year’s resolution for you.
A Psalm of David:
Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

1. Perfection of the Word of the Lord, converts your mind, will and emotions for the better.
2. The testimonials of the actions of the Word gives you wisdom and the prudence.
3. The tried and tested statutes of the Word show you the right way to do things, and that gives you inward joy of heart.
4. The principles or laws of God’s word are pure, opening your eyes and gives you long lasting vision for your life. Remember, blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God!
5. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, because it cleanses you from wrong motives, and that is a sustainable existence.
6. The judgment calls of god’s word are right every time, and always favour the truth.
7. God’s words are more valuable than gold.
8. God’s words are sweeter than honey.
9. God’s words warn you beforehand of danger and keep you safe.
10. There is great reward in studying the Word diligently, to show yourself approved of God, a good worker, rightly dividing the word of truth. Show God you treasure what He says by writing it down and filing it and praying over it. Meditate in his word day and night, and you will make your way prosperous and have good success.
