?
Anointed to wait in one accord for the Promised Holy Spirit
Anointed to bear Witness to the Risen Jesus Christ
Act 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;
Act 1:5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Act 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

From MBC Subject Manual: “Book of Acts” notes by Dr Roy M Gray, Miracle Valley Bible College material used with permission.
“Witnessing: “martureo” (mar-too-reh-oh), Strongs # 3140, Gr. Giving evidence, attesting, confirming, confessing, bearing, record, speaking well of, giving a good report, testifying, giving a good report. Here the Holy Spirit reminds us of prophecy 1561 and of what Jesus said in
Luke 14:18,19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. ….heal the broken-hearted, …proclaim liberty to captives, …recovery of sight to the blind, …set at liberty those who are oppressed, …proclaim acceptable year of the Lord.” What a good report! May we also continually give such a good report in Jesus Name. Testifying – a continuance of telling everybody about our first Love Jesus Christ. Affirming that one has seen, heard of experienced something is a way of witnessing to the world who are desperately seeking God. To present the gospel with evidence we look to the comment Jesus gave us in Mark 16, affirming that one has seen, heard or experienced something. In the New Testament it is used particularly for presenting the gospel with evidence. The English word “martyr” comes from this word, suggesting that a witness is one willing to die for his testimony (Word Wealth NKJ Acts 26:22). From this we recall how God bore witness to His Son from Acts 2:22, by saying by His messenger “Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst”, the word “confess” reminds of our we are saved if you confess with your mouth and believe with your heart the Lord Jesus… (Rom. 10:9,10) Bearing record is a prime example of witnessing as a scribe. God has restored the ministry of the scribe to the church, Luke did so Luke 1:3 (Baruch in Jeremiah 32:12; 36:4-32) “it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.”

Anointed to speak in other tongues and Proclaim God’s wonderful works
ct 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Anointed to interpret Scriptures
Apostle Peter understood Joel for the first time and explained it as a present revealed truth to all who had come to Jerusalem for Pentecost.
Act 2:16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
Act 2:17 ‘AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, SAYS GOD, THAT I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH; YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS.
Act 2:18 AND ON MY MENSERVANTS AND ON MY MAIDSERVANTS I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT IN THOSE DAYS; AND THEY SHALL PROPHESY.
Act 2:19 I WILL SHOW WONDERS IN HEAVEN ABOVE AND SIGNS IN THE EARTH BENEATH: BLOOD AND FIRE AND VAPOR OF SMOKE.
Act 2:20 THE SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE COMING OF THE GREAT AND AWESOME DAY OF THE LORD.
Act 2:21 AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS THAT WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.’
