In Mandaluyong City, Manila, I preached on how Jesus relates to different people. Jesus did not follow any formula but related individually to each person because everyone is unique. Today many preachers rely on formulas and methods for church growth instead of being like Jesus who treated people as individuals.
To fishermen he demanded that they follow Him and made an offer that He would make them fishers of men. He did not tell fishermen I would make you architects! They saw the miraculous draught of fish before they saw the souls being saved.
If you decide to follow Jesus He will make you what you ought to be!
To the woman caught in adultery that the religious Pharisees wanted to stone according to the law, He stooped to the ground, wrote in the dust, because we are dust and we are fallible. He wrote and read, ‘the one with no sin cast the first stone’. Then all the accusers left, one by one. He asked the woman, ‘woman where are your accusers?’ She replied: ‘there are none, Lord.’ Then he graciously added: ‘neither do I accuse you. Go and sin no more.’ What absolute compassion! What absolute forgiveness! We tend to hold things against each other for a long time without really forgiving and forgetting. God says when we confess our sins He forgets them. He casts them into the depths of the ocean and removes them from us as far as the East is from the West!
To the Centurion He spoke a word of healing for his servant and the servant was healed in the same hour. The religious Pharisees told Jesus this man is worthy that Jesus should go and heal his servant, but the man denied it and admitted he is not worthy.
‘But speak a word only and my servant shall be healed, for I am also a man under authority. I say to this one go and he goes!’
Jesus was astonished at the Gentiles faith in Him and said, ‘I have not found such great faith in all Israel!’ Great faith simply takes God at His word.
He told the 10 lepers to go and show themselves to the priest to declare them healed. Only one, a Samaritan, returned to give thanks to the Lord for his healing. And he was the only one that was made totally whole.
To the thief on the cross Jesus said: ‘today you shall be with Me in Paradise!’ What an awesome 11th hour salvation! The man rebuked his fellow thief who mocked Jesus and said to Jesus: ‘Lord, remember me when you get to your Kingdom.’ When we confess Jesus as Lord we shall be saved. For with the heart we believe unto righteousness and with the mouth we make confession unto salvation. (Romans 10:8-10)
To Zaccheus Jesus said: ‘today salvation has come to your house!’ When Jesus visits your house salvation comes with Him! Zaccheus wanted to see Jesus can climbed into the Sychamore tree to see Him because he was short of stature. Jesus saw him and said: ‘Zaccheus, come down, for I will dine in your house today!’ Zaccheus repaid all that he had stolen from people for exacting extra taxes for his own benefit. He made restitution.
To the rich young man Jesus said: ‘go and sell all you have and give to the poor and come and follow me!’ He offered the young man apostleship, but he was rich in goods and the demand was too great for him to accept. Jesus was saddened by the young man’s response for He loved him. The young man tried to keep all the commandments but could not obey this single command. Jesus wanted the young man not just to be rich in possessions but rich in good works as well.
Jesus relates individually to you because He knows and understands you very well. Just be honest with Him when you pray to Him and He will answer you.
I ministered en masse to people and also led them in a confession of the Lordship of Jesus.
In Marikina I preached on the three ingredients of a miracle. I learned this from Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. The three ingredients of a miracle is the Word of God, faith in the Word of God and action! You cannot act on God’s Word unless you believe it.
To Peter in the storm He said: ‘Come!’ and Peter walked on the water to Him! The invitation was an open invitation to all the disciples! Jesus did not say, ‘come Peter!’ He just said, ‘come!’ when Peter asked him: ‘Lord, if that is you, tell me to come to you!’ The invitation is still open today. The invitation to come to Jesus is open to you and I today. We just have to take the step of faith and then we will walk on the very circumstances that wants to drown us!
To the man with the withered hand Jesus said: ‘stretch out your hand!’ and it was restored completely like his other hand.
To blind Baritmaus Jesus said: ‘Your faith has made you whole!’ Blind Bartimaus wore a yellow cloak to show that he was blind. But when he heard that Jesus was passing that way he cried out: ‘Jesus of Nazareth! Have mercy on me!’ The crowd tried to silence him but he cried out all the more. Then Jesus stopped in the way. He told them to bring Bartimaus to Him. The very people that try to silence you and oppose you will have to admit that Jesus has called you! Immediately blind Bartimaus threw off his coat, signifying that he will no longer be blind. When Jesus saw his act of faith, he told him his faith has made him whole!
Jesus wants to see if you believe in Him. To everyone that believes on Him and accepts Him, He has given power to become sons and daughters of God. (John 4:12)
This is the third time I preached in Marikina and the 5th time in Mandaluyong City.
I am seeing several people individually this week and will go to Santa Rosa in Laguna on Friday to address some pastors.
