Intro
Right at the outset I want to answer that question: the Da Vince Code is not a new religion it is a giant hoax! It was recently exposed on the actuality TV program Carte Blanche that two Frenchmen created an idea for the code and Dan Browne got hold of it and wrote a novel which is every publishers dream because it causes controversy and has a chain reaction of other books being published to argue for and against the code making millions for the participants and accomplishing nothing except bring confusion.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is without controversy!
1 Timothy 3:16
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Apostolic Perspective
Apostolic perspective needs to be given on this code that has almost reached cult proportions of popularity. Hollywood is releasing a film about it because it sees the money earning potential of the subject that attracts the curiosity of all the skeptics who would rather believe the lie than adhere to the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Intention of Dan Browne’s book
The Da Vince Code has no other intention than to try to discredit the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Christianity.

It is mere speculation based on the Gnostic Gospels. Here are seven speculations that aim at discrediting the Lord Jesus Christ and His glorious Gospel:

1. Jesus married Mary Magdalene who tempted him into adultery and had a daughter called Sarah.
2. Mary Magdalene’s remains are in the Holy Grail – her body retained the blood of Jesus when Sarah was conceived.
3. Jesus wanted Mary to be the head of the church but the male dominant leadership preferred to have a celibate man lead the church. Feminism would thrive on this them of a divine feminine idol.
4. The church suppressed the truth about Mary written in the Gnostic Gospels in order to maintain the myth of Jesus being the Son of God.
5. Mary and Sarah had to flee from being assassinated by the church leaders and escaped to Gaul (France) and started the Priory of Sion from which the Templar Knights arose.
6. There are still direct physical descendants of Jesus and Mary in the world today of which Leonardo da Vinci was one: this explains his genius.
7. Gnostics claim to belong to that divine line and new converts are initiated into Gnosticism through a series of rituals and baptisms at each level of enlightenment.
The Result of Dan Brown’s speculations

The reason why they try to discredit the Gospel
Gnosticism and Humanism want God and Jesus and Christians out of the way I order to promote SELF as God. But they have no firm foundation because they employ speculation instead of historical facts to discredit the bible as well as characters in the bible as well the bible writers. This method is as old as the world itself:
The Old Testament origin of skepticism
It began in the Garden of Eden where Satan used the ancient method of suggestion to make Adam and Eve doubt the validity of God’s word and allowed sin to enter human nature through disobedience and rebellion.

Genesis 3:1-5
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
The New Testament origin of skepticism
When Jesus rose from the dead the soldiers ran to the Chief Priests and Pharisees to tell them what had happened. In order to silence the truth those religious hypocrites offered the Roman soldiers a large sum of money to spread a lie that Jesus’ disciples came and stole his body away. This lie is still rampant today – especially among the Jews! The other lie that has existed since that day is the assumption that Jesus did not really die on the cross. They spread the lie that he was simply laid in the tomb to rest until he recovered! There are many, many books written and sold by the millions by those Anti-Christ influenced authors and religious authorities, especially those from the east who promote Hinduism and Buddhism in all their hybrid forms to capture the curious minds of the western people who refuse to adhere to the truth about Jesus Christ.

How pop culture is used against Christianity
A certain novelist with the surname of Dick wrote several novels that have become movies that influenced today’s generation causing them to rebel against the set values of Christianity and offering them an alternate entry point into the supernatural. Such movies are The Matrix, The Minority Report and actors like Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise are upheld as the new messiahs of the 21st Century. They are mere idols, pop culture idols, who cannot save anyone from their sins or forgive sins. They have no power at all. Yet the young people of today know more about their liv
